Is the campaign to rebuild the Arch still ongoing? I haven't heard Dan Cruickshank mention it in years. The proposition put forward by the trust seemed utterly feasible to me, and I still think it would make a magnificent addition to a London landscape cluttered with identikit modernist architecture. That CGI shot at the end just shows how wonderful it would look.
