hey take your memory card off & battery off and install the battery back on not the memory card see if it will work if it work and try to install the memory card back on with the phone shut off and turn it on if it doing on and off again your memory card must be something wrong with it .

as u can see ur nokia brick is the worst piece of crap i have ever seen. if ur wondering how to fix it i recodmend to throw it on the ground and smash it into a million pieces. then hopefully if ur not poor get a new F*****G PHONE!!!! NOT A BRICK

Thats water damage to the motherboard. Sell it and buy another one. Its not worth repairing or flashing :(

turn on the phone in download mode, download a flashing program and download the firmware. thats it

Download the Nokia Suite (or use the CD that came with the phone) and install (on your desktop/laptop). Its includes a Sofware Updater which you can use to flash the device.

easy way,first plug you nokia charge to you phone , and then go to buy a new nokia battery,and press you power button ,hold the power button in 10second!!!! then reset you all setting,and all done ,you phone is not suppot WalkingHotSpot 2.0 firewall!!!

Mine worst.. I update my Firmware lastnight and the NSU crashed during the process. After that I can no longer turn the phone back on, IT JUST STUCK AT THE BOOT "NOKIA" i tried Pheonix but failed to flash. What should I do guys?

i has to do the master reset..

just before you turn on, inmediently press * and 3 and the green button (call button) at the same time

then the phone came to live lol...but i lost everything in the cell memory...well, dont care at last still works... i hope it works for every one

I have found the solutin we need atleast for nokia a service cable this is a special cable or if not a box service for phones like nokia . So you got to go to some service point .

I had something like that with my sony ericsson K850i, but I am not sure if the same solution would be able to be provided...

Was your phone up to date with updates? I went online, and received help and this was their solution.

I updated using one of their programs, but I am unsure if Nokia has a system for that...

And of course... If you haven't solved it so far, since I just now realized that it's been more than 3 months now, lol. Sorry... Hope it helps if it hasn't been fixed. :p

@ NdreySoft, that has already been posted in the comments SEVERAL times and has not worked in this case. In the future please read the comments before blindly posting generic responses.

BTW- to anyone concerned, i saw this video when doing research for a broken e51 i wanted to buy on ebay, i later found out after purchasing the phone that the phone i bought was the one in the video! OMG what a small world. Anyway i fixed it by dead USB flashing in phoenix and if anyone needs help just ask.

-charge your phone at maximum

-turn it off

-remove your mmc card

-when the phone is off, press

simultaneously the green dial key, the star key (*) , the 3 key and the power button.

Do not let go the three keys until you see the "formatting" screen displayed .

This must work for sure.

My phone was a little different than on the video:

When I had charged the phone and pressed on, then the LED would light up. The screen would stay black and the vibrator didn't vibrate.

The LED turned off after a minute or a few minutes or so.

I just pressed: *, 3 and power on and the vibrator reacted instantly and the phone came to live.

Hi! When you try the hard reset (Green talk button + * + 3) you also have to push the turn on button. I mean, you have to turn on your phone while pressing green + * + 3. Did you do it? This method should work with all the symbian OS. Try again and let me kneow! Bye!

I downloaded a some fonts for my E51...after installing them, same problem occurred when i installed a font on my memory card through a card reader, so i knew the problem was in the font so i removed my memory card and restarted my phone and it worked...

If you have installed that program in your memory card try restarting your phone by removing it...

If your E51 is still dead you can try a factory reset (at home)using....

Requirements

1)Phoenix Internal Service Software A 2006.40.1.245 (or newer)

2)Flash Update package(Datapackage RM-244 200.34.36_v2)

3)Nokia USB cable (DKU-2) for USB flashing...

Note:Recharge your battery to full before flashing...

All these softwares are used by nokia care.. and they are available on the internet...

Just you have to search them with patience

In the software I select USB as the connection, clicked on "Scan Product" and I get "No Product".

How can I get my PC to detect the phone? The only way I was told was with JAF, but i don't have that box. thanks

There is a solution but I think it's quite risky for you to carry at home, I found it unstable & could really kill your phone for good...that is plugging it in through your USB and running a software update with Nokia's own software, again I suggest you seek help for this, preferably sending it to the nearer Nokia Onecare center to have it done for you.

I also called Nokia, and as it turns out my phone was made for the Singapore market ( I bought it in Jan. from eBay), and they will not touch my phone since it has foreign firmware.

That's odd coming from Nokia, I certainly wound't buy it if I was told that!! Gee man I don't know what else to think of for now.. I own an E51 as you do so I can imagine how this feels for you...it's a great phone. Don't throw your hopes though, if I'll think of something I'll contact you, as long as the phone is at least switching on there is hope.

Ok so, the OS got messed up, the Green talk button + * + 3 is not universal from what I know so it might not apply for the E51, have youre tried *#7370# ?? it an altenative to formatting... what is for sure is that ther is a full backup of the system on the phone itself.

the #7370# is to format a symbian phone that CAN boot. yendor is mistaken that this will help due to the fact that your phone (and mine) cannot boot. Funny thing is i have EXACTLY the same problem as you and my phone does the same thing when it boots. Any luck fixing yours?
