  • A video like this couldn't be made today !! It wouldn't be taken serious especially from a woman's point of view.

  • i remember this on new york hot tracks too.

  • This was a time where you could relate to the song and or the video. Today the only way you can relate to a song you had to have killed someone or getting ready to shoot someone or treat a woman bad. Back in the day these artist sang about love and how to be in love. If anyone builds a time machine back to the 80's let me know I'll be the first one in line...

  • Very nice solo hit by Philip Bailey, who is one half of the voice of Earth Wind & Fire. Of course the other half is Maurice White. Philip Bailey was the man though.

  • THIS IS THE GREATEST VIDEO OF ALL TIME TO MY FATHER. TALK ABOUT FINDING YOUR LOVE AGAIN. "WOW"

  • Man....take me back to late summer of 1983.

  • Everyone, lets get back to the way God intended mainstream music to be percieved. This is beautiful art at its subtle best I LOVE IT ALL. With me we all will remember that just the way it is!

  • @darodimon The way God intended mainstream music to be perceived? Do you have any idea how FUNNY and INSANE that is?

  • If I'm not mistaken I think that was his wife for real..

  • OMG!!! I thought this was a forgotten song and video! People thought i was crazy when i had told them of this video... Explained it to a tee... They said it never existed! It just never made it in the charts... There were lots of great videos back in the 80's.... Hot tracks, Friday night videos, Rubix cube, atari 2600, Highland park handball + Basket Ball, running with the crowd, adidas, puma, nike.... What a time to be a kid.... what a time to be young.....

  • This song reminds me of a boyfriend that I used to have, that drove a cab when we were dating. In fact, he saw me while he was working, and sped around the corner on two wheels: that's how we first met. We had lots of great times.

  • @TheBombshell19..... Uhhhhh....... I can drive a cab too..... If you want me to.

  • Great jam and video by PB. I remember I was 9 when it came out on video soul back in the early 80's. I sing it all the time. Tryto at least.

  • Thanks for the post. This was probably the first video I really loved. Maybe my favorite of all time. When the video matched the song. Had a story to tell. Kudos to the music and the video.

  • The 80`s had great music all around.R&B,rock, alternative or whatever , it was all good. The best decade IMO.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song and video. It's so real to me, because it's the soundtrack to my life. I played it to death back in the day and today. Thanks for posting. Thank you Phillip Bailey for the great music.

  • Yeah for sure, onest of the baddest piece he cut.

  • Thanks for posting. If anyone is interested, there's a seller on eBay that's selling this CD for less than $20. This is a must have!! And there's extended versions of 2 songs. Check it out!!

  • This song takes me back, this was the cut back in the day, when musicians actually had talent, and songs had feeling in them, hense the term "soul" i can't speak for everybody but i really liked the 80's and good music, like this cut here is one of the reasons why.

  • Vintage clip and track.

    Thx for posting this treasure.

  • This guy is my IDOL!!!I grew up on him! I use to think my voice was too high til my uncle played his music with earth wind and fire and then I knew it was cool to sing high!

  • This is back when singers actually put some thought into music videos other than girls shaking their rumps and came up with a story.

  • So true. I do love this video. The story reminds us that TRUE LOVE CAN PREVEIL!!!!

Philip is such a dynamic singer!

  • Philip Bailey performed "I Know" and "Vaya (Go With Love)" on Soul Train back in 1983 (I would love to get those performances as well as other ST episodes from the eraly 1980's). You were very lucky to have access to BET in 83" (the only other outlets that would play this video in New York was NY Hot Tracks and Friday Night Videos since we did'nt have cable back then).
