As for Metallica all one has to do is have a quick listen to the new album Lulu and you will see where they are at right now. They are at a point where they can do what they want, when they want. @insaneone5150 LULU wasnt technically a Metallica album. It's actually a Lou Reed album for which Metallica created the accompanying score. The four new Metallica songs out right now are quite incredible. I may be alone in this, but I can hear bits and pieces from each stage in their career. Looking forward to the full album!

St Anger was crap and now this Lulu stuff.....kinda turned me off of Metallica who are actually one of my all time faves. @insaneone5150 I like St Anger for what it is. Every band, even the great METALLICA, changes over time. It's not another Ride The Lightning or "black album" but its still enjoyable to an extent, and those songs actually sound great live. Death Magnetic is on par with their early recordings, IMO (tho we all know what they say about opinions :P). Check it out if you haven't. You may be suprised!

BAD BAD BAD and i LOVE LOVE LOVE godsmack! I have all their albums, all their lyrics are in my head... but this Oracle album is just their worse album ever! Godsmack failed this time... they wanted to make "kickass" record but it's obvious that they forgot that only by doing something you actually feel is going to reach in soul of fans... this album has same beginning in every song, same dynamics of rhythm and vocals... 0:35 - 0:50 is slowed riff from Master of Puppets with modified end.
