Zelf heb ik "Ik hou van Holland" ook gezongen door Joseph Schmidt, maar daar kon ik hem wel beter verstaan. Echter, dít nummer vind ik als het ware "mooier"

All these lovely old records you bring back to life again are beautiful, Daniel. And the late great meastro Schmidt is one of my absolute favourite singers of all time, who could even give a simple Dutch folksong like this a grand and operatic dimension.

Makes you wonder when we Dutch will FINALLY start to appreciate our musical and cultural heritage.
