I remember the tank. It's hard to imagine anything like this would be allowed now: Falling lights, exploding chairs (Pamela was sitting on that just a few minutes before), falling shrapnel... the shots are perfectly synced with the explosions... you have to hand it to Bob for staying with the show and trying to talk Pamela round rather than running off-set as I would.
Did Bob genuinely have no idea this was going to happen? I've not heard of this nor seen it before. He looked really scared at the start. Obviously by the time the rocket launcher comes out he realises this is all a big joke. If he did know it was some pretty good acting.
Where o where is the full version - if only someone out there has it! I used to have some on VHS but sadly all gone. From intro to final scenes it is in a class of its own with a glorious one-over on the otherwise calm Bob Monkhouse - I seem to recall a full-scale tank scene breaking through the back of the stage at the end, with a manic and triumphant Pamela Stephenson atop it!
hahahahaahah "Put it down.. put it down"

I remember at the end Bob pretends to fight back with the ornament (I think).

It's marvellous - I did have this recorded from the original for ages, but mislaid the tape,

Actually almost funny for Pam she struggles with comedy always lacks something

I remember this. I remember the look of fear on Monkhouse's face.

Uncle Bob thought he had some serious shit on his plate, handled it like a pro

I've heard about this episode but never seen it. Thanks for posting it. Anyone got the full version?

Oh my God, I worked on this show! Sadly the bit where the midgets broke through the set in a tank at the end is missing - I kid you not!
