Hi, I'm Brazilian living in the US and I speak english, Portuguese and Spanish. Inane taken French classes in high school for 4 consecutive years. I don't have anyone to practice with so it's been 4 years that I haven't studied it. My pronunciation is great and so is my writhing and reading. The only problem I have is that I can't have a conversation. I can't put sentences together. Probably because I never had anyone to practice with. Is there anything you can do to help me? To remember everyt

Hey, i'm a spanish spoken person, english is my second language, now i'm getting in french learning. I think your work is very useful for me, because you are linking my 3 favorites languages and i'm able to realize how similar are them. Thanks keep going.
No, the "s" is not pronounced when you say "ils l'ont fait". As a general, the S in ILS/ELLES is pronounced only when it is followed by a vowel or a mute h (h muet). It can be a hard "z" sound or a soft "sss" sound based on the following vowel. Hope this helps,
this guy speaks french/spanish/english fluently damn wow. and he isn't from either of these countries coz his accent i think is a bit African wow man ur gd
Also in Spanish there's a duality regarding the verb to be, which means "ser" and "estar". The former is used as a descriptive, the latter as a transitive. So you could say: "soy Francés" (I'm French) o "soy rubio" (I'm blonde"), as you state it to be a permanent condition. On the other hand, you say "estoy enfermo" ("I'm sick") or "estoy en América" ("I'm in America") implying you could cease being or change your condition
Digosantista, " Vous avez Française " is not correct : " avez = verbe avoir ( to have ) " The correct phrase is, " Vous etes Française ?? " singular féminin or " Vous etes Françaises " plurial féminin. Compris ??
I have a question. In a video i saw a dialog and the man asked to te woman "Vous avez française?" (i don'to know if the sppeling is all correct, but... the correct form shouldn't be "Vous êtes française?" ?
By the way, congratulations for the classes and thaks to do that for us!
@FrenchTastic1 so "ils/elles ONT" (they have) and "ils/elles SONT" (they are) when used with the "liaison" is actually the same thing?... is that right?... because they are then both said exactly the same way.. please correct if im wrong here. Or would you not need to use the liaison on "ils/elles ONT?".. so it would sound like "ilont" or "elont"?
@nido76 Bonjour Nido. "ils ont" is not pronounced the same as "ils sont". The first one is pronounced ILZON (hard z)while the 2nd one is pronounced ILSSON (soft s)
If you apply the same rule to "elles ont" vs "elles sont" you should be able to pronounce them correctly too. Hope this helps. (and if you're having too much difficulty, check the verbs on my site. I posted online all the conjugated forms of these 2 verbs) frenchtasticpeople [dot] com - Merci
Merci! This is great! my challenge is by the end of next year maybe the year after...I will be able to go to france and speak french.SO thanks, this is really helping!

Merci d'avance.

(i'm sorry for my bad english, i'm french)
hello :)
Both possibility exist, but they don't mean the same thing.
"Vous êtes Française" mean "You are French"
and
"Vous avez Français" (can exist only with the singular masculine) mean to take a course of french
I hope I didn't too much mistakes of vocabulary -_-' it's hard lol
