sir, i dont understand one thing, before the corner, we will use break, the heavier the break is the more hard you have to use the knee to hold the tank to prevent handle bar freeze, that means you have to use both knee to hold the tank.... then how can i flip the hip?
@plukcc Don't hold onto the tank with your knees. I had problems with this, I was always wondering what magic bastard CRs at track days were using to pass me with late braking maneuvers everywhere when I was floating the rear wheel already and then riding right with them for corner speeds. Problem 1 was I was stiff arming the bars, transferring more of my weight to the front than was necessary, hence lowering the amount of braking power I had before lifting the rear... (cont.)
@plukcc So I loosened up my arms and held onto the tank, which helped, but when I tried to brake REALLY hard I found myself not setting up until I was already steering; so I watched some video of FIM SS and AMA SBK and MotoGP and such, and I realized, just... take it on the balls. Set up, brake hard, if you hump the tank, hump it, deal with it, push your butt back once the G-forces start to come off as I ease off into trail braking mode, and suddenly those CRs were having to work a lot harder!
i got a suzuki katana 750 for 3000 pound on loan in mint conditon until i dropped it and scratched the rear fairing while putting it away i got the bike now im waiting to get all the gear so i can ride until then the bike will only be getting ridden around the block until i get full gear not worth the risk going out with out the gear like everyone else said get a cheap bike first and good gear
You can afford a bike just don't be picky. When I started I couldn't have what I wanted, I settled with an old bike that cost me $600. You can afford a bike.
if you live in the States. go on ebay. you may not like Buell, but there are some very cheap deals right now on 1125R's. i've recently seen bikes with bids as low as $600.00. but that bike also needs work. it looked like it was dropped badly. And no its not my bike. i got my own 1125. just giving you a heads up.
@bojanglesme you can buy a honda vfr 400 2006 second hand for about £1,200 not too expensive at all thats's cheaper than what i paid for my aprilia rs 50 a while ago haha
