You don't get it. IT WOULDN'T CHARGE IT! You have no idea how ridiculously small the accelerometer is! It's TINY! It's not a fucking pendulum! It wouldn't 'charge it' at all because it wouldn't create enough voltage to do so if you put the god damn phone in a paint shaker. This isn't people being skeptical, this is people being reasonable. The Accelerometer can't power the phone, it's IMPOSSIBLE!

When you plug in the cord it syncs with iTunes. The phone would have gone to the lock screen and denote that it were "Syncing."

Except the accelerometer has absolutely nothing to do with the power supply... and if it did it would need some sort of motion to make it charge, and the accelerometer doesn't move much at ALL and you would have to shake it like mad for a billion years to maybe even get your battery to acknowledge it's existence...
