  • Eagles nest nm?

  • whats it doing spinning a 4 blade?

  • @3rflyingcom Flying...

  • Beautiful!!! Wow!!!

  • I hate people who stand in front of the runway!

  • There are a couple left with the Centaurus flying. They make amaing HP, but parts are just a little hard to find.

I would love to fly in one. Do they keep the same speed with the wright engines? the one i saw fly at Chino last month (with the smoke canisters on the wing tips) had the wright conversion. Beautiful airplanes.

TMMAXJETT: that is cool info. would love to hear what he says about the power of the Sea Fury.

  • Most if not all of the flying Sea Furies in the USA have replaced the Bristol Centaurus engines with Curtiss Wright 3350-26 engines or the Pratt & Whitney Wasp Major. The ones that fly at Reno certainly don't use Centaurus engines.

  • The Sea Fury is the most beautiful plane out there in my mind. My Dad flew Spits, but the Sea Fury was always my favorite, and that amazing Centurion engine with the rotating sleeve valves - how did they design that thing.... 2,000 HP...

Just saw one fly at Chino this past weekend. Awesome.

  • My Dad has flown Spits and Sea Furies. He flew Sea Furies in Korea. He said that the Sea Fury was 'a man's aeroplane' given the power and swing on take off.

  • 911 is called "September Pops"

  • Hawker makes some beautiful aircraft

  • I was sent to Iraq in 2003, based at Shaiba Log base sw of Basra. As we moved in the RLC and Engineers were in the process of recovering a sea fury which was left behind by the RAF in the 50's. We were told it was being sent back to UK to be restored (possibly to Duxford. Anyone got any idea what happened to this aircraft? I'd appreciate any info. Hawker really knew how to build beautifull aircraft.

  • Gorgeous

  • Wicked nice. Love to fly one of those.

  • haircut sir?

  • search youtube for "reno air race" and you can see this aircraft racing at 400+ mph. Pretty cool.

  • 8-O !! Awesome!
