@wonderlandbby93 i did not cuz i opted for the lash blast volume instead cuz i heard it gives more of a dramatic look instead of an everyday one.but honestly it is the best mascara ive used and ive used a couple expensive high end! it does not clump, the formula isnt too wet or too dry and the main part it can hold a curl! But it smears a teeny bit but nothing too bad that its noticible!and the brush ppl may find too big but any mascara i used i always have to clean it up at the end! buy it!

You should try Maybelline New York Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Washable Mascara! :D It's pretty old, but I heard it works great for short, straight asian lashes.(: Being a fellow korean with short lashes, finding the right mascara is a pain the butt. -______-; If you try out this mascara, I hope it works out for you! ^^

as a fellow puffy monolidder with stubborn lashes, how smudgeable is the Lash Exact. I've found that I've always had trouble keeping the mascara on my lids without getting raccoon eyes in an hour. What's the best non-smudging mascara you've tried so far? Nothing seems to work for me :(

@jingjinglan Sorry to hear that my monolid pal! The Lash Exact never smudged on me that I noticed? But it is in waterproof so I think that's a big help! My fave mascara is Maybellines the Falsies! It actually holds my curl & doesn't flake & I haven't noticed smudging with that one either :)

I totally agree with you! The purple one also works the best for me. I have asian lashes too and all other mascaras (btw, I have about 11 or 12 different tubes that I probably don't use because they don't work well) make them fall flat. I think the one requirement I have of mascaras is to hold my curl!! The red one (volume exact?) works well as well! Also, the beauty tubes double extend from L'oreal SOMETIMES works really well for me if you ever wanted to try that. =) thanks for the vid!

If you are willing to spend a little more money on a higher end product, you should try the Shiseido Nourishing Mascara Base after you curl your lashes and before u apply ur mascara. I have pretty difficult asian lashes as well and this has been my HG. even the most horrible mascara can be wearable after applying the shiseido base. It helps your your lashes hold the curl for the mascara application. Seriously love it...

For me covergirl lash blast did not hold my curl, my eyelashes would fall. Also, I really love the Colossal! It holds my curl perfectly!! And it gives amazing volume. It is not wet, actually once it dries your eyelashes turn kind-of stiff. But that's why my eyelashes curls!

Amen to you my monolid sister~ I hope you find your holy grail. The Maybeline or Covergirl mascaras have wands that are scarily big for my tiny eyes T^T I use a mascara from a Korean brand Etude House. Its wand is smaller than most wands, and I feel that the mascara sticks more to my scarce lashes than the bigger wands. =)

Hey I'm asain too and I found something really cool. It's called eyelid tape. You put it were you want a crease and once you do that everyday it eventually stay like that and you don't have to use anymore

I'm Asian and my lashes DO NOT like to curl. But I found that the Covergirl LashBlast Length mascara really works on my lashes, because the brush is great and catches every lash, and the formula is not too wet or too dry. It is not clumpy, and it's very buildable! I love it!

Love the video! I don't have monolids but my eyelashes are RIDICULOUSLY straight and I'm always buying new mascara because I can never find one that works. I don't know if you've tried it, but Dior's DiorShow Blackout mascara is amazing! It's kinda spendy so I don't buy it that often, but it really works.

i have asian lashes too^^ i love the shu uemura eyelash curler. I find applying primer before mascara helps to build your lashes and hold the curl. I also love a mascara by Miss Sporty, it's very cheap but is amazing for Asian lashes! x

i've been using maybelline volum' express hypercurl waterproof mascara in very black for about the year now, and it's THE BEST. it holds my lashes FOR EVER, and i absolutely love the brush. it's a curved one, and i think curved brushes work best for me. and this is the only mascara that's ever worked for my stubborn, asian lashes AND i got so many compliments on my lashes. (: sadly, i bought it in asia and i can't find it here in europe, so i don't really know what to do right now :s

Ever since I started wearing make up, (about 8 years?) I've been using the maybelline waterproof great lash mascara in very black (it comes in a pick bottle with a black cap). it holds up and thickens my lashes like a charm, and you can layer it a bunch of times without it looking overly clumpy too. and if i put the mascara on and then curl it, it pretty much holds my lashes like cement, lol. hope this helps! good luck ^^/

i am asian and i have monolids too! and what i do is after i curl my lashes, i tend to take my mascara, wipe off the excess mascara on the tube itself and move back and forth on my lashes. not only does it keep the curl in, but lengthens them too

I'm not asian. but my lashes are very straight and can't hold a curl. I definitely have to agree with Covergirl's Lash exact line being the best in holding a curl. Even the non-waterproof version of Volume exact in that line tends to lift my eyelashes better than many other mascaras I have tried and I bet the waterproof formula would be even better.

I'm not asian but my friend and she's so jealous about my lashes and I want to help her because I always see asian girls with pretty lashes .. her problem is that the lashes go down instead of up , she doesnt have really short lashes just a little bit short and if they would go up you could see it but even with mascara they go down.Can you say a trick for her , please ? she doesnt want to use eyeshadow or MUCH eyeliner =P

@HelloHannahCho , sweetheart , I am ..... white , filipino && spanish (: I have stubborn lashes too , && I taught myself this little trick (: I curl my lashes , then I put mascara from the middle of my lashes to the tips , then I do the bottom lashes && wait for them to both dry .... then I brush on the mascara from root to middle , but dont wiggle , wait a few seconds and brush from root to tip . it works great(: hope I helped ?
