  • You need to go to File > Save for Web & Devices. After, save the file as whatever you require, using the dropdown list on the upper left hand side of the screen.

  • Can I do this on "adobe photoshop elements 6.0" ? or are you using a newer version of photoshop?

  • I think thats photoshop CS2 never seen CS3 but..yeah

  • Animation botton on photoshop version CS3.

  • Can barely hear what your saying. Turn the volume up and stop mumbling.

  • @anduhVon

    Totally agreed!

  • i couldnt figure out how to save a picture. I used photoshop CS2. I'm thinking of re-doing it on image-ready (pain here I come again T_T)

  • dude, dont say t save as gif, it will delete the animation...

  • rofl cool

  • haha steve urkel

  • thanks!

  • can you put pics in thing that are already gifs? Like say i wanto but a blue backround in one of the already moving gif file.

  • just load it onto imageready.

    i t should make a difference.

imageready will provide you with all the frames.

If its a movie file, open it, and it will ask you which portion of the movie you want to animate.

make sure to save for web, so its saves as gif, and you can use it for web.

  • hahaha urkel

  • when i tried to save, it wanted to delete all the animation. any suggestions???

  • click save for web and devices... it will then save as a GIF image

  • I can't hear you.

  • yup, way too quiet, cant sit through this. thx anyways.

  • Speakers have a volume dial....

  • Good Job!

  • that was cool thx

  • very low sound quality.

  • wanted to know what versionf photoshop do you have? I don't have the animation option on mines.

  • hes useing Cs2 imagerady in cs3 you can do animation also together. in the old version of cs2 needed to use cs2 for editing and cs2 imageready to do image gifs n.n

  • how do you loop the thing. like make it do it over and over. mine just does it once

  • in the animation box in the lower left corner is a button... hope you'll find it :P

  • nice tut. by far the best. yet.

  • It is a nice tutorial. However, if you use the freeware Photobie, it can be done in two minutes. If you doubt it, simply give it try. you will be amazed. Plus Photobie is a lightweight Photoshop.

  • thanks mate!

  • omg dude thanks alot!!

  • I had no idea how to make a GIF before now, thanks a lot bud!

  • how do u download image ready??

  • if u have cs3 then ur screwed

  • DUDE !! I got photoshop CS3 in mac, I can't save it as GIF? what else can I use to save it as a GIF? Does CS3 FLASH has GIF format??

  • File/Save for web & Devices will give you the option your after...

  • I had no idea what he was saying, like telling what to do or whatever, But I <3 his accent. mhm

  • speak louder please

  • how can we get a white background?? as he says in the beginning..sorry but i am a beginner

  • click "D" that resets your colours pallet and then do "Ctrl backspace" that should give you a white background you should do this on the layer under the image.

  • what photo shop is that the one i have dose not have animation in windows i have 7.0

  • works only in CS2

  • very helpful!! thankyouverymuch!!!!

  • but does it also work with photoshop elements 4.0????

  • no it doesn't.. hey do you know how he got a white background in the beginning?please tell me if you know

  • the background should normally be white if you open a new document..... if not just change the background to a layer and use the filling tool to color it white. that's how i would do it, (i'm not an expert.....)

  • thanks. I also did that by moving the picture to a white background. It works well

  • set the foreground colour 2 white,go to file, new....and thats it!

  • Urkle!

  • i needed to make a gif of a girl i know and an shooped dick goin in her mouth. this was helpful!!

  • You could have just duplicated the layer and flipped it horizontally instead of copying it into a new file. Despite this, it was a good, clear tutorial. Thanks.

  • nice tuto

  • Since I got confused as well..

Go to File > Save for web & devices.

    That works. ;)

  • you rock

  • very good, just too quiet.

if you can speak up i woud give you a 5, but for now...its a 4...

  • thanks..great tutorial

  • Thanks!

  • how to save it i finish the Gif already?

  • tanx for making this clip

  • its pronounced JIF...not that that really matters or anything

  • i said PRONOUNCED

  • its not pronounced jay its pronounced G

  • Many people pronounce GIF with a hard "G", IPA: /ˈɡɪf/, reflecting the way it is pronounced in its own acronym (Graphics Interchange Format) [2]. However, the creators of the format pronounced GIF with a soft "g", /ˈdʒɪf/, as in "George". According to the creator of the GIF format, Steve Wilhite, the pronunciation deliberately echoes that of an American peanut butter brand, Jif-wikipedia

  • oh lol thanks for explaination i thought u meant pronounced as jay

  • wrong. it is pronounced both ways

  • Regardless how it is pronounce as long as I get the message across what does it matter

  • i saved it as a gif file but it wont work.

when i play the animation on photoshop it works but not after i save it then open it again.

  • Open it in your browser it works best

  • same here

  • speaking louder would be better

  • if you have photoshop elements you need to go to file>save for web and then do it up

it's pretty easy once you figure it out

  • i dont have the animation button in WINDOW. help!

  • I believe that you need photoshop c2.

  • cs cs2 or cs3 if u dont have it in windows go to image ready and try it there

  • uhh u c a button at verybottom of da tools u clik dat adn it jumps u to the imageready program

  • hey i remember that guy, yeah, he was crazy!

  • you mean steve erkle

  • yea but i mean crazy in a funny way!! :)

  • I dont have animations on my windows menue?

  • I had the same problem u must have an older version of photoshop.. if u got image ready u can add animation from there 2 i think?...
