Amazing aircraft, nice and rugged just what you need for the Isles. The fact some of them were Romanian built just adds to it for me - I used to fly on them alot as a kid.
I seen better wheels on a Cindogo folding pushchair,as for the plane christ, its a f---- biscuit tin with wings, the engines welll, they are a job lot from DAEWOO!!!!!.
The glowing is caused by the friction of the pads and disc... Ever seen a Formula 1 car's brakes glow red hot into a corner? Same principal... The friction causes the disc to heat up, and possible get hot enough to glow red. Judging by the fact that it was wet the pilot applied more pressure to help slow the plane down due to the lost of traction on the runway... Simple
G-RLON had an accident on March 27th 2009, albeit not serious; the luggage hatch door on the long nose flew off, and fell into the sea. The aircraft has gone to IoW for a repaint at Britten-Norman.

The glow is visible because the disc is external.
If you could see how the discs on your car glow - you would drive more slowly, perhaps.
At least the pilot's toes stayed off the brake pedals before touchdown -otherwise it could really have got exciting. New tyres please!
