YALL is carzy!!! McGizzle became the Headmistress after Snape died. When Albus died Severus took over, with McGizlze still as Deputy Headmistress. When Headmaster Snape died McGonagall became Headmistress as the line of recession goes. Plus it did say she became Head after Snape.
I said balogo2009 is right. As you should know, a large amount of characters die in the 7th book. If Snape dies, then obviously Mcgonigall will take over. And I don't remember exactly what Voldie's orders may have been- but I'm sure that Snape being a death eater and working in the school, Voldie would want him in control there for better- er- chance at getting at Potter. It's all logical...
the part "get a promotion," though... she IS deputy headmistress. That's pretty badass, esp. when actually being Headmaster or Headmistress of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry is something akin to winning a Nobel Prize.
and ... hehe. depending when this vid is supposed to take place, she's got to wait until the end of book 6 to get her promotion...if you get what i mean.
