we are singing this in our high school choir. but i must tell you i have never heard this song in such an awful way. agree with the "shame on you" thing. thats unbelievablly bad. a real disaster.

This was originally a Negro spiritual and should always stay that way. In our church we put some drums and tambourines with this and it really is lively. This version is too 'church traditional'.

Sounds great. And when dealing with classical music like this, it's often remade by popular artists like ub40 or other composers, and it won't always be the same. One choir I saw did this as Jazz Dance.

Haha I remember this. We were absolutely awful. All the beginning choir members overpowered the Advanced Choir or Chamber Chorale members. It was excruciating to listen to from inside the choir.

This is "Swing Low Sweet Chariot", a famous Gospel song, performed by a Philippean children's choir, which was conducted by Prof Fidel Calalang, who is the founder of the UST Singers (University of Santo Tomas Singers Manila), the "Choir of the World 1995". This version might not be the very best, but choral singing is great, and the singers are young! So: young singers, keep on going!
