  • Is that Billy Cyrus?

  • The show was never as good without trapper and Henry. After seaon 3 Alan Alda used the show more for socail/political statements...instead of great comedy. seasons1-3 were by far the funniest ones

  • This is mostly about the episode where Trapper decided to give up his job as a the company cook and take up a new job as the official poet for the outfit - that happened in episode 549, I think.

  • Trapper's character was funny, not on a soap box every episode like annoying Hawk Thigh...

  • Rant: I hate seeing the camera with the clock on it!!!!!! on thumbnails that I was going to get back to.I guess the best thing to do is film the computer screen with your camera if you think there is a video YTB is going to take down. But dont try to resell it or re post it. Personal use only. They (YTB) did that with Goodbye Farewell and Amen.

  • I can't believe there's an Elton John song out there I had never heard before!

  • Outstanding.

  • shiver me timbers hawkeye, we got a high response to crabapple cove when Obama raised the liberal douchebag level to AAnegative. It's that's standard & poors has alwaysblamed fairly responsible people or is the first president to call Rizzo a Creole?

    scientific american frontiers crabapple cove

  • Actually, Trapper *did* get to say goodbye - sort of - in the third season episode "Check-up", where he discovers he has a stomach ulcer and everyone thinks he's headed home. Granted, he didn't actually end of leaving, but he got a big farewell party and had a nice little exchange with Hawkeye in the Swamp.

  • i cried when henry blake left.. and i cried when radar said that his plane was shot down without any survivours.. when traper left i didn`t know if mash ever would be mash again the way i enjoyed it... when radar went home i stopped watching mash for a while. when i started to watch again they were at the last episode.. i watched it.. and cried.! RIP to henry blake:)(.. like this if you think that mash never was the same after henry, traper and radar left..

  • I gotta say it was great when Trap and Blake were there but me, perosnally prefer it with Potter and Hunnicut

  • I actually came to like Colonel Potter more than Henry Blake, as I believe his character was a realistic portrayal of a senior Army officer and doctor. I never thought BJ Hunnicutt was a strong enough character for a major role, maybe if he'd been a recurring character a couple of times a season.

  • I liked him because he was lecherous and that BJ guy was just a whiny wuss.

  • I have the enire series on dvd. Every episode (251 episodes) includeing the movie that statred the series (with donald sutherland eliot gould and tom skerrit) and the final episode. I bought it on amazon

  • the show was never the same after Trapper left. I loved his friendship with Hawkeye.. This was really great! :)

  • What is the name of this song? Love the video!!!

  • @smlauren16 The song is called Friends Never Say Goodbye, by Elton John

  • What is the name of this song? Love the video and song!!!!

  • Trapper could have Gotten his own Spin off as the head of another MASH Unit or as the head of the Army Hospital in Tokyo. Trapper was as much the Life and Heartbeat of the Show as Hawkeye was. I watched the Farewell to Henry Blake episode the very night it was first on CBS. I watched the September 1975 episode that Introduced BJ Hunnicut. I was caught off guard by Trapper leaving. I watched the whole 1 hour BJ Intro episode. I also watched the following week that introduced Colonel Potter

  • Great vid! Show has been off for year and I still miss Henry. Trapper was like the brother Hawkeye never had. Someone to get into trouble with and share the good times and the bad times. BJ was ok but he just didn't fit like Trap.

  • When Wayne Rogers left at the end of season 3, did he always know that was going to be his last season or was it a last minute split decison. Maybe he should have bowed out in the episode when his character was complaining of a stomach ulcer in that same season? Im still none the wiser why Maclean Stevenson left.

  • @whabrock >> Maclean Stevenson got offered his own show, so that's why he left. As for Wayne Rogers, he originally was going to come back for Season 4, but he wanted to get the same dealings as Alan Alda. The producers refused and Wayne Rogers quit the show in between seasons.

  • wait....there's a remake?!! really?

  • ...What?

  • Wow! What an incredible montage this is! So long Trap and Col. Henry Blake! Those great men will be missed!

  • There was another doctor in the show.

He played the guitar and had singalongs with Hawkeye and Trapper. He made appearances in season three and after that, he was never seen again. I wonder what happened to him?

  • Captain Spalding his name was...

  • nice video man! the fact that he never got to say goodbye always bothered me too, when i see the episode where BJ arrives, sometimes i have my fingers crossed even though i know hawkeye doesnt get there in time

  • Thank you

  • I agree the show totally changed when Trap and Henry left. I hope Trap stays in the remake too.

  • @befriendsomeonetoday REMAKE! WHAT REMAKE???

  • @befriendsomeonetoday Its actually really funny, my baby sister knows: Hawkeye, B.J, Margaret, Mulcahy, Potter, Charles, and even Klinger. Klinger is her favourite, and Hawkeye's mine!

  • @befriendsomeonetoday Remake?! You can't be serious.

  • Whene wayne Rogers left MASH his shoes were never filled. BJ Hunnicutt was ok as a supporting character but never as a main character. the relationship between Colonel Potter and Trapper John would have been Great ! in BJ ,Colonel Potter only found a follower behind Hawkeye not a leader and a cause of the Action. MASH was never as good when Wayne Rogers/Trapper John left.

Let's hope Trapper in the remake stays.

  • Seasons 1-3 are hands down the best and some of the best television comdy ever. The show was never the same without Henry and Trapper.

  • @ThePrimeDirective Although both Hawkeye & B.J. Hunnicutt had more than their fair share of comedic moments, him with Trapper was a formidable duo because they were in constant competition with one another.

  • @Roadracer987654321 With B.J.,he was the antithesis of what Hawkeye Pierce represented.

  • @Roadracer987654321 In the first place,Hawkeye wasn't supposed to be the leading role in M*A*S*H,leading to Wayne Roger's departure as Trapper John,as you're well aware.

  • @Roadracer987654321 I always felt that BJ was a much stronger character than Trapper and found BJ and Hawkeye more equal than Trapper and Hawkeye. In fact, I feel that all the replacements were stronger characters. I'd much rather see Potter, BJ and Winchester than Blake, Trapper and Frank. The only near exception was Radar vs Klinger (after Radar left). While later Klinger was a much stronger character than early Klinger, he was merely the equal of Radar.

  • @alamanderflash BJ Hunnicutt represented the Good Natured Loyal Family Man which we all need more of. But after a while they ran out of stories tha tcould be told with him. He was too young, naive and inexperienced to be Fuel for Many Good Powerful stories. He would have been good as a Semi-Regular Only. Another Trapper John Type Leadership Type Character with Confidence of his own to be the Center of Attention like Wayne Rogers was would have been a Great Mix with Hawkeye & Potter.

  • @Roadracer987654321 See, I never got the felling that Trapper WAS a leadership type character. He was too much like Hawkeye for me. That's kind of why Wayne Rogers left.

  • @Roadracer987654321 The difference between BJ & Trapper was that BJ was an opposite personality of Hawkeye.

  • @Roadracer987654321

there's a remake? Whats it called?

  • @Roadracer987654321 Remake of the show???

  • Elton John +Mash= AWSOME VID!

  • Thanks

  • Great vid!! <3

  • Thanks ^_^

  • Even though I've been a fan of Elton John's for years, I've never heard this song before. It was a good choice for this video. I'm giving you 5 stars for all of the effort that you put into these videos!! -- Kim

  • I was watching El Dorado and I was like "OMG Trapper never said good-bye! ;_; I need to make this song a video and my sister who hates Elton John was like "NO! Never! Stop!" but I paid her no mind and made it anyway!

So happy you liked it thank you!
