Wow I think your min pin actually has bigger ears than mine!! Pretty hard to believe. I love the one floppy ear and one perky ear. My dog's ears used to be like that too when she was younger. Oh and yours is very well trained. Bravo!

My doggy when he was training went through the same things mines a mini schnauzer he's 4 now and a very good boy too.And for when he would get constipated I found that letting him lick the cup of about a quarter of that activia yogurt* would help him alot more than any of the doggy items would*...worked him just fine.

@TheWildpoppy It's a phrase I use for the command. Instead of saying "Potty" which sounds lame, i use the keyword phrase "Hurry Up" as a command when training them to use the restroom outside.

@hmsfhs I'm not rushing my dog, it's a command I use. Instead of saying Potty or go to bathroom, I like to use the word "Hurry up"

dobermann, always been clever haha, it took us alot longer to train our big dobermann, but next week we'll have 2 miniature pinchers aswell! I do want to ask, how do you teach a dog to roll over? do you help him do a roll over and give him some traits ?

@spree2009 its a Miniature Pinscher, not a Doberman. Their 'standard' is to look like a tiny Doberman, but the breed is completely different :) Its funny when you get two of them together though, everyone thinks its a Doberman puppy :)

@MsJeStaR use a high tone and praise him/her every time they do it correctly. As well as providing them with a treat. My dog likes a lot of attention, I usually give them a lot of attention when they do each trick right.

Freshk6 how did you teach your dog like that. My Mini Pinscher only knows how to sit and lay down. I can't teach her how to do all of that. But, she keeps on peeing in the house! Can you show me how to train my dog like that? I do have 1 pee pee pad left but, she always bit it and chew on it. Every time she pees she pees in the house not on the pee pee pad. Please help me.

I bought puppy training pads. Use a key word whenever they go. So every time they go, you can say "Go Potty", and if they go potty in the right place where U want them to go, give them a treat, & make sure you tell them "GOOD BOY or GOOD GIRL" and give them a treat. & If they don't go to the right place, just pick them up and say "No, BAD!" Don't yell, just let them know its bad. It takes a lot of patience, and make sure you use the same keyword terms when training them.

yes i just bout one he is about 6 weeks and am trying to potty train him if you have a nice tipss let me knoww , and in the night he cry a lot in the cage , how long takes that he gets use to it?? your dog is a beauty! I still thinking about cropping hes ears its something more cosmetic its not necessary so i dont know yet !!thanks for the tipss!

Min Pins are very intelligent. It takes a lot of patience and time. The tip is to give your puppy a treat for everytime he/she does a trick right. Once they pick up on that, then teaching them more tricks will be a lot easier, and they will learn a lot faster because they will expect a treat everytime doing a trick.

this is abusive behavior, this person should be prosecuted for animal abuse, please people, if you're going to treat animals like that, don't get any. How would you like if you are taking a dump and someone tells you to hurry up. Poor little puppy, he doesn't look happy.
