@tchatman770 when she was born she contracted a very weak structure and immune system like nagisa had. she died from pushing herself too much, in the end. Unfortunately for ushio, she was just a little girl. About 3 weeks ago i after work on a friday night, i saw the episode, and eventually finised the anime at about 3 in the morning. It took me about 5 days to finish all 50 episodes, and man, have i seen some sad, sad things in this anime.

yeah the ending of the anime sucked nut but i liked the rest was good though. its just this wasn't even sad, the music didn't fit well with the rest of the soundtrack, if it was the dango song i would have cried a shit load-maybe ushio mattered to me a lot but her death didn't

The light he captured when he reconciled with his father granted his heart's desire. Clannad itself is a supernatural series. It's subtle, but it's there. In the recap episodes that follow, he talks about how he remembers a time when Nagisa died and Ushio got sick and died as well, so he's aware of what happened. I think the Ushio in the other world played a part in the use of the light, but I'm not entirely sure how.

If you played the game all the way through (8 times) you would understand that in the true ending, no one dies. The anime couldn't represent all 8 playthroughs well, because it has a linear  plot. But trust me, in the true story of Clannad, things end well. Thumbs this up so people can see.

I forgot where I got the game but I needed to download it and then patch it to English, a fairly complex process, and there were still some untranslated parts. But the audio works so I can hear the Japanese so that helps since I know a lot of Japanese. Anyways, try Googling "Clannad English Full Voice" or something.

If I remember correctly, this wish granted anything - it was explained in one of the arcs in Season 1.

To me, they lived on because of this.

First, remember the town legend that Yukine told Tomoya and Nagisa about. Then, consider what Ushio saw after Tomoya settled things with his Dad. This should pretty much explain how the ending to Clannad came to be.
