No, there are only certain ports available for sailing in. If you check the Ship Sim link on the right, you can see the features on that site ,and it will tell you all the ports there ;-)

If you haven't got the shortcut to it in your Start Menu, go here - C:\Program Files\Vstep\

You will find a PDF document there, called "ShipSimulator2008_Manual". That will give you all the information you need :-)

The game is available as a Download version from the official site (contact me if you need a link).

You only need the basic stuff (Keyboard/Mouse), but you can use some extra equipment (Joypad etc.), if you wish to ;-)

You can get a FULL list of all the controls from the Main Menu, you will find everything you need in there. You can even alter them if you need to ;-)

You have an option to create your own container loading missions, with the Mission Editor ;-)

Still kind of upset that with the new version you can't edit the wave height in the config files to make them HUGE any more.

In all honesty, it will cause problems anyway. The waves aren't meant to go over a certain height, that's why the editing function was removed ;-)

Personally I think it was a bad idea to totally cut off all ability for anyone to mod the game even the smallest bit. Good games can be built by a team of professionals, but great games have all the community and modders backing them.

The portainer doesnt move, the cargo is placed in line with the bay position on the ship by lorries or straddle carriers, the crane lifts it straight into position.

what spec computer do you have? Do you think this will run well on my computer, 1gb ram, 3.06ghz, not sure what graphics card ive got, but its pretty decent.

My spec is about average, nothing special. I have a GeForce 6600 (512mb) graphics card, 3.2ghz CPU, and 2gb RAM and it runs pretty well on that, nice and smooth ;-)

The passenger/cruise ships in the game at the moment are the Pride of Rotterdam, Titanic, Red Eagle and Red Jet 4, plus a Hovercraft (after patching).

There are plans to add the ships from the Ship Sim 2006 Add-On, later in the year (this pack includes the Cruise Ship 'Ocean Star') ;-)

You mean Missions? In the standard game, 1 at the moment. You can get missions on almost a daily basis from the official forums though ;)

There is also a mission editor being released in August, so you can make your own crane missions :D
