  • you have one of those distinctive country voices

  • @army1ty Thanks... yeah every once in awhile somone says something. I've heard all kinds of things from country radio dj to a mix between Hank Hill and Forrest Gump! lol

    Thanks for watching!

  • why not empty out the fuel tank and put in the right gas

  • @Ponchovillla14 I would of but I just put $50 in gas in it the night before... it's been ran all out now and been thru a few tanks. Smoked quite a bit but cleaned everything pretty good! Definetly runs better with some premium in it though! ;) Thanks for watching!

  • @jfrost77hd Ok good to know it runs thank god :) and no problem the firebird just caught my so i didnt mind taking a look on your build

  • Warms my heart to see an awesome motor like this fire into life.

    Take care of it, yeah?

  • Had the EXACT same valve covers on my '69!

  • @rewop23us Really, cool yeah I need to clean them up... did you have the 428 or 400?

  • @jfrost77hd Was a 400. Ran like a scalded dog! Man brings back memories. Say you should check out Butler Performance. Look them up with Google since youtube wont let me post urls. They sell some cool stuff like Steel cranks, roller cams, and stroker kits for the ol ponchos.

  • @rewop23us Alright I'll check that out.... thanks for the information! Take it easy!

probably never will always doing some kind of mods to her, i keep watching

this video, and i know how you feel i've had fire shoot out the carb before

but yours is deffently scary. but you got it covered. i have other vids here of the car running, too later bro.....Tim

  • @bepianoful Hey sounds good man... get to packing, lets knock it out! ;) Yeah an extra hand always makes a big difference! Yeah they tend to be endless money pits.... always things to do! But for those of us who enjoy it.... It's all worth it! Thanks for watching and the kind words.... lots more to come! Take it easy man!

Probably give you a holler here and there along the way! ;)

  • @bepianoful fire shoot out the carb before? ever had a fireball? it happened to a mustang that a buddy was working on back in high school, timing was dinked and lit and backfired through the carb. lol 10 ft fireball!

  • @thefarmfred1 Wow... yeah I've caught an air filter on fire before in the fall and accidently through it into a pile of leaves in the fall. Ooppss! This was in my 77 Chevy burning out in front of the house... hey it was the neighbors leaves! :)

  • congrats on gettin her runnin, hey i ;ve got a 69 firebird here on you tube

orange with stripes, i did the stripes about a year ago, any way love the car

you should go with the pertronix gets rid of your points, still uses

stock dist, my project on my is working on wenzler tunnel ram set up. i had to

send the intake back for rework from larry wenzler,,,,cool car bro,,,,Tim

  • @bepianoful Hey thanks alot... yeah I'm having alot of fun with it! Yours looks really good, hope to get mine that nice! I did look into the Hei and they were around $400. I also looked at the pertronix's for about $80, really dont mind the points thought it was kinda pricey just to get rid of them. I want to get the Hei distributor, coil, and Msd ignition module eventually. Really like yours, looking forward to seeing more of it, and thanks for checking out mine! Take it easy man!

  • lovin the firebird man, one sweet car! I was just tryin to get my 72 chevy truck runnin yesterday, and almost had the same thing happen with the fire! somehow, while trying to rebuild the Edelbrock carb on my truck, i screwed something up. and now its dumping gas out the drivers side exhaust header while i was trying to start it! if i would have cranked it one more time, it prolly wouldve gone up in flames about like the firebird did in this video!

  • @tgredneck Hey thanks man... yeah it was a scary one! Yeah I dont have any exhaust on it just the exhaust manifolds out the engine. Got her all flooded up and...Boom! ;) Take it easy man!

  • @Th3h00ligan Well it depends alot on the condition and what the $150 in parts are, and how much labor it's going to take. Possibly if it's in really good shape.

  • nice car

  • @318dodgeN350camaro Hey thanks man... you have a quite the collection aswell!

  • @jfrost77hd thanks ya its alright lol i wish i had a better carb but finally got my holley tuned after 7months

  • @cowboy820 Thanks man, been playing with the carburetor getting it just right!

  • thats gonna be one big tyre fryer !

  • @djbazzmaster Ohh yeah... ready to go out and put the rubber down! ;)

  • Awesome she is ALIVE!!!!!! Why did you have to say that tho is right!!!!!

  • @Lukedawg1984 Yeah never fails... I jinxed myself!

  • omg frost i wantt thatttt!!!!! that sounds awesome! open headers? looks like in good condt. love it. good find. you lucky.

  • @215rant Hey thanks bud... Yeah open exhaust right now, going to put headers on it and the cut outs so I can manually turn it wide open when needed! ;)

  • @jfrost77hd omg man that would be sweet!! i wanna do the same when i get a truck, my friend might sell me his big mudding truck and if i get it im going to do the same.!

  • @215rant Yeah I always thought that would be cool... have a good rumble and then be able to just make it scream when you want to! They have manual pull ones and electric ones that run off a solenoid... I'm going to do the manual ones... less stuff to go wrong! ;)

  • @jfrost77hd on with you on that one man! thats an awesome plan tho

  • Hot stuff! Sounds good though.

  • @cubbeezx Hey thanks... When I run the exhaust I'm going to put the cut-outs on it so I can open it wide open if I want to! ;)

  • what color are you going to paint it...lol. any more projects and you will need a another garage

  • @2013craig Hell I've got another garage and it's full too... I need a pole barn! ;) I'm not real sure on the color yet but considering a dark metallic green, still got plenty of time to figure that out though! ;)

  • @jfrost77hd lol man my garage and my pole barn are both full of projects and toys,,that green would look good....keep up the good work man

  • @2013craig Yeah they sure fill up quick! Thanks for watching man!
