"Scotch Whiskey", is an oxymoron. An oxymoron is word that describes two words in an adjective-noun formation, each of which cancels out the other, eg., "Living Dead".
Whisky is the product of Scotland (hence Scotch).
Whiskey is the product of Ireland (not to be confused with Poteen).
If you want to try a good whiskey, you can't go wrong with "Bushmills".
It should also be noted that Scotch whiskey also gets its flavor from where the distillery is located (Scotch labels will often tell you which region it's from). Besides the different waters that are used, I've heard that whiskeys made closer to the sea often have nice hints of, well, the ocean.
dude this video is great and suddenly creates new questions in my head like where does the color come from in whiskey? is that from the aging process?
who made this still !!!!!.....NICE !

No such thing as a bad Scotch whisky? Try Fleischman's and try not to have your dinner fly out of your stomach. No really, you DON'T want it to.

Doesn't seem any different than making moonshine, yet moonshine is twice as strong as scotch whiskey.
Markohoppis 1 year ago
@Markohoppis Depends on how its made, but its the same process yea.

whiskey is basically distilled beer. grains, like barley or wheat or corn, are fermented, then distilled, then aged in barrels.

color comes from the barrels that it is aged in.
