I used to love this show and was mad ass hell when it got cancelled! No one believes me when I tell them about this show though. lol. Glad I found it on here. Thanks so much for posting!!
Did "Dancer" really do the "run my fingers through my hair" move? This is sooooo eighties......and I love it!!!! And these names? WTF? It may not be a spin-of of The Warriors but it sure as hell was "inspired" by it.
Man I remember this show from the early eighties. Didn't last very long but was fun while it lasted. And the hairstyles. Me and all my friends had hair like that, lol.
nice...all you can get in a tv show...the typical blond white american, the black guy, the chinesse guy, the gay guy (dancer), the hot chick, the chinesse guy and the latino guy....:D
This actually was not a terrible show. Along with Patrick Swayze and Tracy Scoggins, the show had Brian Tochi, who was a talented child actor and was in a great episode of Star Trek (And the Children Shall Lead), did a number of cartoon voices (Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan for example) and was in Space Academy on CBS!
This was a good show that got cancelled way to soon back in the 80's. It was even better than the TV movie they made of The Renegades that this show was based on.
This is so cool.I remember watching this show when I was in high school and I have been waiting for somebody to post clips of this show and the music. And finally somebody did,I wish there was more. This show is where I saw Patrick Swayze for the first time and thought he was most handsome guy
Patrick Swayze was a great actor. I hate that he had to pass away this way. The Renegades got me in trouble because I would watch it and not do my homework. LOL
MAN - I loved this show... I first fell in love with patrick swayze watching this before he was famous... didn't know these clips even existed! RIP....
I remember this show like it was yesterday. I saw Randy Brooks in a lot of things in the
80's, (even on a Soap), but then he started doing more commercials. When I finally saw Patrick Swayze again in Ghost, I remembered him only from this show.
The pilot for this series, called simply 'The Renegades', starred the same actors for Bandit (Swayze), JT, Eagle and the two cops. The others were played by different people.
The music was the same, although the title credits were an awesome electric pink, which actually looked better than it should have.
(Beginning to sound like an anorak now, so I'll stop it there....)
really? could've swore Michael Beck (warriors is the greatest movie btw ;) was in the pilot. Oh well. It funny to see the guy from Revenge of the Nerds as Dragon! lol.
Meet the Warriors back up group.

Fucking Wikipedia told me this was a spin-off of the Warriors. Doesn't look bad though.
RIP Swayze, WOLVERINES!

This series shoulf have at least lasted 2 seasons. I guess it was mediocre where as NBC or whoever just killed it. RIP Pat, WE WILL MISS YOU.

21 Jump Street came out in 1987The.Warriors and Escape from New York were probably the late seventies/early eighties influences. :)

Huh, guess they couldn't cme up with a name for Tracy's character...
Youindia 3 years ago 5
Sure they could. In the pilot, Tracy was played by Cheryl Paris, who should have been in a lot more shows than she was. (Including this series, imo)
Kartissa 3 years ago
@Youindia No, they just changed actress's between the pilot movie and the series. THe original was a gal named Cheryl Paris.
