actually, dry-cutting (w/o any water) bangs gives you better and more accurate results than if your hair is wet. reason i say this is b/c your hair looks different when it is wet than when it is dry.

That's true, but I didn't "wet" my hair.. I didn't explain it clearly enough in my vid :(

I only made it a little damp so it's easier to gather the hair

Very helpful tutorial but what was the spray you used? Only I just assumed it was water then realised it was in a Japanese bottle and was like 'No, no one would ship water over from Japan! Just use it from the tap!' Lol.

i just got my bangs cut as well.. i cut it on my own as i have overbudget for this month.. hence i can't go to the salon. i actually wanted to get my hair trimmed it thinner as well because my hair looks really out of shape and thick right now. haha! so, yeah i cut my own bangs too and i guess the result it alright. hehe! at least it does look sassy. lol. i think i shall go and buy those thinning scissors that salon uses so i can thin my own hair without going there. lol

I saw those shears also at Marukai Market living, is came in a set with the thinning, cutting, and a comb i think. It was 20 for the set. But when I went next door into the Daiso market [its apart of the same company just a diff building i believe] the thinning scissors were only 1.69!

that looks so easy! i leanred the twisting trick before cuz i saw the hair dresser do it for my layers (just for the rest of the head, not teh bangs) so i tried it but i didn't twist it to your extreme (like so i couldn't twist it anymore) so i didn't yeally see an effect.. now i know why! lol. and also i leanrd to twist is and then start chopping it in sections from the middle-ish part down to the tips so that you get mroe layers. :)
