I am surprised that no parents are complaining at this ballet being inapt for kids when it comes to the churning movements etc, seems to be complaints on just about everything else but could it be that ballet is above sexual content?
@icarrus4u oh but seriously, in the UK they cry wolf all the time for things like this and other totally random things. i don't think they have to do it, i think this ballet is great in it's twee-ness. i was just expressing my surprise that ballet still is untouched but moralists :)
@tedsler That's LAME, get a life and learn to enjoy ballet as being a reflection of "real" life. This is a fun ballet, don't over analyze it. I can tell you have never been on stage.
@icarrus4u How can me expressing my surprise be lame? :s And for the record I trained as a classical dancer and have worked as a dancer/acrobat/aerial performer for over 10 years. Want to teach me something about ballet/stage please feel free. I am all ears.
And also, I 'liked' this video. I have nothing against it I was only asking a simple question. Marianela Nuñez is an amazing dancer who actually made me enjoy watching ballet after being a bit ballet-ed out.
Really? I only remember Bosl doing it with Skroblin/Chaussat (can't remember if Vernon did it as well) in the early 70's, but I left in 1976. Did you take over after he passed away? It's funny that I should stumble aross this today, as I was just telling a friend (in reference to the booing at the premiere of La Sonnambula at the Met in NY this past week) that I'm used to booing from Germany -- and I remember booing Ashton loudly at that production. :-) I was crazy for Skroblin tho, loved her.
Whats the song after this dance ends when the video ends it starts? because thats the song I danced to!

ex soloist and later balletmaster for the company. prof. Christiaan Danhoff arad.
