We build hovercraft for the HCGB racing circuit.

We use bog standard GRP fibreglass with kevlar re-enforced outer edges, so the point between the end of the flat bottom and the start of the outer, curved hull.

If you cannot get the Kevlar strapping, seatbelt fabric also works fine.

Some people put a thin wooden plank along the bottom of the hull which the craft rests on and the idea is that you replace the wood. We found it was too heavy and hindered racing. But cruising...

hi google hovercraft club of great britain (hcgb) then go to the links page and look for eagle hovercraft or k and n products. there are only two of these craft and we a still doing mods to them, the craft have over 200hrs on the i six months with no major probs good luck mate
