What do You think I should get D90 or D7000? I would love to get D7000 but I don't think I need it. I'm thinking about getting D90 but should I save up and buy D7000? I'm not a pro and not planning on becoming one I just really like photography and would like to get a decent dslr. One more question will Nikon Nikkor Af-S lens 50mm F1.8 work with D90?

@mariuszpl88 It's up to you which camera you want. I'm happy with the D90 and the 50mm works just fine with it.

@mariuszpl88 If you are not planning on becoming a pro, I would get the D90. It's not worth the extra money to get the D7000 when you are not going to use all the settings on it. Also, I would not consider the two, "decent." They are very good DSLR's...A decent one is the D3100.

@mariuszpl88 D90 is perfect. I just got it over the D7000. This is my first Nikon and my second SLR. My first was the rebel XSi and it was amazing. It's not about the camera, it's about the user. You probably heard this a million times, but it in photography the photo is about 75% User's skills 20% lens and 5% body. If you have the money, of course opt for the D7000, but if you're on a budget, definitely get the D90. And @Savannara is correct. The 50mm works wonders!

@mommaification Honestly, if you're not a pro you should get the D90. Because D7000 is yet, a more professional model. The D90 includes all the basic features of a regular dslr such as the pre-set modes (portrait, auto, sports, etc). The D7000 only has the more complex settings (M,A,S,P) and U1 and U2 and auto as a benefit. Yes video recording is better on a D7000 but, for your on benefit the D90 will be better.

@sizzlebunny It really depends how you use and store your camera accessories. There are a lot of choices out there. I have two bags, a large Lowepro Fastpack 350 SLR to keep everything in it, and I have a smaller and convenient bag just large enough for the camera and one additional lens - Kata DC-433.

D90 for $750 is a good deal. If you can afford and spent another $750-800 for 18-200mm do it!!! i did it and I am glad for doing so. it is a huge difference between 18-105 which is also a good lens.

Nice Video! Best on Youtube! And trust me I've seen almost every un-boxing of the D90 in the anticipation of getting this camera! Ordering it tonight and it should be here by Wednesday! I got it with the VR 18-105 f/3.5-5.6, VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 and a 50mm f/1.8. Also got an extra battery and the grip! =) Let's just say Uncle Sam was generous with the tax return this year! =P

I can not really comment since I don't know the Korean market, do the math and see which comes out less, then go with that option.

@aaronfate4ever get just the body cuz now you not tied in to the kit lens. go on line and get a Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 G AF-S for a cheap price. this lens will give you a lot better picture quality than a 18-105mm vr lens or 18-200mm vr lens. then buy a 70-300mm vr lens. vr is perfect of telephotos. then get a 50mm 1.8 d prime lens. you will spend few hundred dollars more but you will not regret it.

Actually, a D3000 is VERY good in low light. You just need to buy faster lenses or work around your dim lighting.

This is the upgrade to the D80. Much better than a D60 (I own both) especially when you consider the D80 and D90 have af motor. So you can buy lenses that will work when you eventually go full frame.
