This lick does not translate well to a 5 string. I've been playing a 5 string since 1995 and still detune the E string if I want to play this lick. It's easier to play and sounds better.

i was going to up load a cover of this tom brown choon ,,, but ,, i was going to de tune All of the strings ,,

de tuning just the E string makes this tom brown riff much easier to play than de tuning All of the strings

You can play it in E. Just move it up 2 frets. But to play along with the song, which is on youtube, you'll have to drop tune to D.

@paupur or you could use a five string if you happen to have one. You have to modify the fingering a bit, particularly on the hammer-on stuff on the low E string (which will be played on the low B), but I got it to work.
