gays and lesbians have always been allowed to get married even to each other just of different sex and happen to be in traditional marriages as we speak. in fact. gays as well as straights have a choice to either legally marry somebody of the opposite sex and get all the benefits or get all the benefits through civil unions and get married to someone of the same sex in a church. what your side is asking for is extra SPECIAL RIGHTS that exist outside the constitution.
