kids complaining about that cracking sound are 12 years old casual consolero hardcore CoD victims that have no clue about what is happening outside behind their door. OFP/ArmA is more a war simulator than a game and they just cant get jiggy with that.

LOL you never heard a real firefight then huh? Don't enlist. All you hear in a firefight is either incoming mortars, outgoing, the direct sounds from friendlys, or the "CRACKLING" from distant incoming small arms fire.

Thing I like about Vopsound is the sounds are a little more realistic, and the sound (IMO) is cranked up, making all the stuff (Especially vehicles) feel alive.

You can really tell the difference in the rifle sounds, if you test out the dragunov it sounds exactly like its real life counterpart

You guys should respect this sound mod better ! ! First of all: They will improve it in later versions (that's 100%) and this vid doesn't show the fighter jet fly bys witch is the best thing of VOP 2.0 That couldn't be more realistic.Don't whine about the sounds,there are people who can't even run the game

Yea when your at a distance it sounds like the exact same sound just a little quieter, the sonic snaps are epic but if it sounded like BFBC2s sound that would kick ass big time.

ArmaA 2 needs the sound Dev from Project Reality (Jaymz). ArmA 2 audio is pretty weak, even this mod isn't much better IMO, based on this video.

idk but no one has ever made a good invorment sound. Is it because Arma engine wont allow it?

If you listen to real firefights, everything has cracks and the distance shots have a lot of echo's. Here it just sounds like regular shooting.

that is how it sound in real life, is not the sound of the enemy weapon shooting, is the supersonic sound (breaking the sound barrier) of the bullet crossing close to your head

I agree, I think the ArmA(2) sounds are recordings from the originals. The vopsounds seem to lack the bass...but how can you make a sound demo with such lossy sound encoding here on youtube anyway?

I just bought the german version and you can just put the ENGLISH language PBO in place.  Took me 2 hours to dl it. I laugh at the people torrenting it b/c of fade.
