The acients were great at observation. They did a lot of autopsies and disections of the human body. They also were well aware of the energetic systems in the body that had a major impact. They used greater amounts of brain power because their survival depended on it. The intuition was much more developed than now when everyones minds are jaded and suppressed by technology. Too many trust machines, scientists and doctors rather than their own common sense.

How did the ancients have such a knowledge of the body, without access to even our current level of medical technology? Who would pair the heart meridian with the small intestine meridian - from a western perspective - nonsense; curiously I came across a reference in A & P to a specialised type of cell in small intestine, found also and only in the heart. Sorry don't recall the detail, but there was an aha! moment.
