ummm...am I the only one who thinks this song sucks?well, suck is a harsh word, but there are great blues bands everywhere, why not support them too?ya'll are worshipping Jack too much...
auddyn, I have to disagree with you there because TWS have always touched upon sexuality, whether it is quite subtle (Astro) or more overt (Instinct Blues and Hypnotize), not to mention the blazing chemistry between Jack and Meg on stage, especially during Death Letter.
So I don't think it's more explicit or anything in The Raconteurs. And Top Yourself is about someone committing suicide.
it's hard to know exactly what 'top yourself' means at that song because you can take it in different ways, such as the phrases 'i'd love to give a dog a bone' and 'how you gonna get that deep when your daddy aint around to do it to you'
Jack White = badass. I'm so glad The Raconteurs happened. Don't get me wrong, I love the childhood innocence of The White Stripes, but where sexuality was nuanced with that band (Ball and Biscuit being the exception) it has become unabashedly in your face with The Racs (Top Yourself and now Keep It Clean). Dirty Blues, love it.
Best show ever, but seriously that crazy purpled haired bitch almost ruined the whole show for me... aghhh, especially when she started rambling at the end of the show when Jack sung acappella. Stupid bitch... anyway excellent video, it's much more audible than the other posts on here. I must have been standing right next to you.
This was the best show I have ever seen! Please post more if you have it. And from where this was shot , it look's like you must have been right in the area where the psycho chick filled out. I was holding on to the rail 2 feet away from her scared for my life!
i love brendan

Oh yes, the psycho chic was so scary... very "The Grudge" like. And, if I was Jack White I'd be scared of her.
