  • TheDRANALYSIS111 this man knows the business.

  • SCHUMACHER İS THE BEST. Senna would win maybe onemore championship b ut not in 94 and 95. schumacher is most permanent succesful in formula one history. if he was not champion he was runner up until very end. senna was not the same man.

  • @gyujiko So true!

  • Why is it a driver that only won 3 titles consistently regarded as the best ever despite the great Schumacher having won a staggering 7? :) I mean it shouldn't even be up for discussion surely? But despite statistics it is Senna, and NOT Schumacher that is widely regarded as the best ever :) Food for thought....Saudades

  • here ill make it simple senna number 2michael number 1.....................cant get more simple then that

  • @ashkanmosavi Michael is # 1, for sure! :)

  • senna was a great driver...even in 1994 he was better than michael because he had huge experience and was the champion at that time...tho i think that senna is regarded a beeing the best because he died in a tragical way...i think michael schumacher is the best cause was more successful during a longer span of time (senna was 36 as he died and had 3 WC titles) schumacher had 7 WC titel with 36...in 1994 MSC also was able to fight with senna after just 3 years in F1...i love both of them!

  • @PLRUHRLCN: That is the greatest hogwash I had ever read. Senna had been defeated by a MSC--in 1994--who was driving a technically INFERIOR BENETTON. At the time of Senna's untimely death, Senna was 30 points behind MSC, and his death saved him from the embarassing experience of losing the 1994 F1 title to MSC. Senna was a great pilot OVER ONE LAP, but was OUTRACED by MSC over the 90 min duration of an F1 race. Senna converted 65 Pole Positions to ONLY 41 wins, whereas the SUPERIOR MSC...cont'd

  • @TheDRANALYSIS111 Purely speculation, and as we're speculating consider this: Damon hill in the sister car took the championship to within 1 point, Schumacher had to call upon his great sporting character and destroy hill's suspension to make sure he won. With all due respect to hill, i think you can imagine how senna would fared...

  • @altosereno Do you know how & why Schumacher was suspended for 2 races that year? Schumi won the title with racing two races less than Hill did! & in SPA 1995, everyone saw who was who, not even Senna could win a race on SLICKS, on a soaking wet, steep 7,5 km.-long track with starting the 16th in the grid! Period. & there are some videos about Senna's "great sporting character" on youtube if you can take a look.

  • ...continuation:....converted 68 Poles into 91 victories and OVER 70 fastest race laps. At age 34, Senna won 3 F1 titles with TECHNICALLY SUPERIOR CARS that were winners before Senna joined the respective team. MSC NEVER joined a winning team, but converted the teams into WINNERS. And, at age 34, M. Schumacher won 6 F1 titles with cars that were TECHNICALLY INFERIOR when he joined (Benetton 91 and Ferrari in 96). SENNA WAS A NOBODY compared to Michael Schumacher. He became a HERO THROUGH DEATH

  • hear hear...

  • Welcome back.

  • @Plisken1986:DTM is a competition series where washed up F1 drivers try their luck, when they are no longer competitive enough to join the Big Boys of F1. In a DTM car, the lateral accelerations (in fast corners) and longitudinal decelerations (under braking) are only a FRACTION of what they are in Formula One. That's why granddaddies can still compete in touring car series. Only morons who have never been inside an open-wheel racer under competitive conditions would claim YOUR TYPE OF NONSENSE

  • I never said anything claiming that DTM comprises of the best drivers who endure G-forces and what-not.

I've watched DTM and yes, the drivers are rubbish (one of the women drivers spun out on a turn during a WARM UP lap). But, I made that comment (with sarcasm) in reference to how often the cars contact eachother and how often they crash. It's very intense in that aspect and has great racing, some of the best I've ever seen.

  • And I wouldn't call Tom Christensen and Mika Hakkinnen "washed up." Some drivers just tire of the minimal passing and at most times less than exciting racing in F1. There's more to racing than just pure speed and open wheeled perfection where contact is terminal.

Besides, if we based who the best drivers were by G-forces, then I suppose Sebastien Loeb would be a mere child (which he obviously isn't.)
