  • Shen & Zhao were so robbed here....the judging system back then was so damn rigged. >:(

  • Despite what the commentators said, Shen & Zhao didn't look very fast (compared to B/S anyway). Their lift positions were quite sloppy, their side-by-side spins were weak, and so was the combination spin, so I don't agree they were technically perfect, and in the second mark, it was clear B/S were better with more sophisticated choreography, better lines and sensitivity to the music.

  • It is. It just let them down - at times they were not as powerfull as the music is, and of course a lack of speed there.Don't get me wrong I like the performance,it just wasn't worth of gold medal.Russians had much more difficult music to skate to "Concerto to Coloratura",but they made a masterpiece of it.

  • No doubt Russians were better in the second mark - they had better basic skating skills,unison,body lines and choreography.Chinese also made a mistakes - on spins and lifts.

  • In the video, we hear the end of the music of S&Z's programn and when the marks are announced, we see that RUS and UKR are near each other. In fact, they talked, which is totally forbidden.

    There was also a problem between France (Were I'm from ^_^) and Russia (again) in the ice dance competition as well.

  • Okay, the ice dance incident I'm thinking of must have been a different year. The toe-tapping incident.

  • lol There were many incidents, so it depends on which one you're talking about ^_^

    Some people says that Anissina & Peizerat (FRA) should have won this year instead of Krylova & Ovsyannikov (RUS), but I don't know much about Ice Dancing.

  • I'm so partial to A&P's Man In The Iron Mask I can certainly understand that.

    I was referring to an ice dance moment when a Ukranian judge tapped his foot to signal a Russian judge.

  • This is a great performance but I don't think that they were robbed.B&S won by a 7-2 split(all 5.9s for artistic merit).

  • Yes it is a VERY tough call. I give S&Z credit because it seems like no one can do Goldsmith any kind of justice though.
