This may be the most fascinatingly bizarre signal fire of the end of the universe I have ever seen! The LAST thing I ever expected was that you could sing like that!
I enjoyed the Susanna Hoffs version, probably not quite as much as Linda's though. The song is most pleasant sung in a female voice, although there is no inherent reason why a male voice shouldn't sing it. Certainly a male could as easily say the words to a female as vice versa.
The fact that this is the worst rated of the ones where I've been singing myself, either Americans don't like Brits making fun of their accent, or people don't want that song sung in a male voice.
Have you heard Susanna Hoffs sing this song?, it's THE BEST version ever!, she has outdone anyone and everyone who has tried this song, if you wanna hear it let me know and I'll send you it, she has changed a few of the lyrics though...for the better :)
I've just sent it to you, it's taken from the album "Under The Covers Vol. 1" - it's an album of '60s covers by Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs, they both sing on all the tracks but take lead vocals on different songs, Susanna's voice is amazing on this song!...let me know if you like it!
