@John94098 You are proabbaly thinking about the DC9 / MD 80 series. They have the engines on the backside of the plane. The DC9 / MD80 series is a shorthaul aircraft. This is an MD 11 and has 3 engines. 1 on each wing and 1 in the tail. The MD 11 is basically an uppgraded version of the DC10 and is a longhaul aircraft.
