eh the brutes are so easy in this game the chieftans were scary in halo 3 but now it just shoot them in the head with half the DMR mag...than one more bulet
You know, I liked halo 2 and 3 because you see the covenant as more of a civilization in those games, because you see the leaders, play as the arbiter, fight heretics, and defeat the brutes. In halo reach and in halo CE the covenant are just some random aliens trying to kill you.
THE BRUTES JOINED THE COVENT LONG AFTER THE ELITES HOW EVER DURING HARVEST THEY HADNT OFFICIALY JOINED. THEY WERE STILL JOINING DURING REACH! ALTOUGH THEY WERNT OFFICIAL MEMBERS OF THE COVONANT UNTIL REACH FELL.
They weren't new additions to the Covenant in Halo 2, there joined like right after the Elites. They were the first Covenant species to kill humans, they lead the attack on Harvest.
The only reason that they don't appear in Halo: CE is because all the enemies in that game arrives from one single ship; The Truth and Reconciliation, it followed The Pillar of Autumn all the way from Reach. And since it was an Elite ship there were no Brutes in it, because Elites don't allow Brutes on their ships.
@SilverJoachim there was actually a fleet controlled by elites, the Truth & Reconciliation was the only ship that left the ringworld in time, & controlled by the Flood. Thanks for your theory/info anyway
@SilverJoachim Actually a small fleet of CCS battlecruisers chased the Pillar of Autumn. They were simply not a fleet with any garrisoned Brute Units. Until late in the war Brutes were given comand of many ships and gained a Brute led fleet under the prophet of Truth
hey awais just because they didn't feature them in halo 1 doesn't mean they just weren't there also the brutes were a huge aspect of halo 2 and 3 so why would they just take them out
@loveanguria But that doesn't make any sense. They were new additions to the covenant in halo 2 along with the drones. To put them in would ruin the story.
@awais142only one ship followed the pillar of autumn to the halo, and it was a ship that belonged to the elites and elites don't allow Brutes on their ships.
Just for all you people wondering why now in the past halo reach theres brutes. In the first Halo the arbiter was in charge of the whole fleet on the first ring and there was no Brutes in his fleet most likely. The Brutes were always there most likely just never on the arbiters fleet and thats why we never saw them in the first one but now we see them here. Because if you remember the Hierarchs or w.e the leaders sent him to destroy Master chief and the pillar of Autumn.
This disapoints me, the fact that there are brutes in Halo Reach, the reason being is because the brutes don't join the covenant completely until Halo 2. Also, the brutes don't shave their hair until Halo 3, because even in Halo 2 they're still furry.
@rainhamendgill What I meant was that the brutes The Brutes don't fight you until Halo 2, I knew that they were a part of the covenant all along it's just they didn't show up in Halo CE, meaning that it would be nice to have another Halo game without Brutes.
@CheeseMcW33ze That's a pretty good answer, thanks.

@masterchieftan827 there were several ships that followed the Pillar of Autumn to the Alpha Halo. This is mentioned in the games AND the novels.
