1. I think you are a bit ignorant on the ways and methods used to draw attention to products / marketing. This is clearly a "PR" stunt, no different to a TV or radio or print ad showing something hyperbolic. It garnered interest which was the goal.
2. A law suit would be completely baseless as any such act wouldn't even make it to court as it is clearly designed as an over-the-top spectacle to woo audiences to watch.
3. Yes I completely agree, they should have showed the system recovering.
