clean the cage or its going to die and on the crickets you should put this calcium powder and i forgot glass aquariums can kill veiled so i rermend a screen cage man or it is a 99% chance the veiled will die
@haydenddddd Maybe read the description? This was her baby cage. The cage wasn't dirty, she had literally been in it a day or 2. When she was big enough for a screen cage, she lived in one for 2 years and then died suddenly, probably due to laying too many eggs.
Considering how much difficulty she had with that first cricket, I'd recommend that next time (if she's still a baby or if you get more babies) try feeding her a smaller cricket. It shouldn't take her that long to swallow it.
thats adorable!! my veiled chameleon is still a baby, but im not sure if its a veiled chameleon unless veiled chameleons are sometimes brown,, she looks exactly like this one,, exept brown,, lol ill post a vid and if some1 can plzz tell me if its a veiled,,
ye i seen ur nice home made cage looks well what way are you giving her water??? my tip is to buy a turkey baster and drip in on to her snowt that way she will get used to you more and wont get as aggitaded
I have a dripper, she drinks water off of the leaves from the dripper or from the spray bottle after I spray out the cage. A turkey baster would freak her out and make her more scared of me...
not a big massive 1 get like a see threw syrenge i use that and my one loves it i add calcium and her vitamins that way and i no she is healthy i used to use a waterfall but it got way to dirty and cleaning it was a bitch lol so i spray her 3 times a day and give her her vitamins n calcium threw the syrenge 3 times a week :)
No, she's still a baby, there are no eggs. Are you sure you're not overdosing your cham with vitamins? I dust my crickets once a month with multivitamins, I don't add anything to the water because I gutload my crickets really well. My other chameleon drinks from the squirt bottle, but I have drippers set up so they can drink whenever they want and don't have to wait for me to give them water.
no my chameleon is on a srtict diet and multivtiamns because i breed them and panther chameleons she goes to the vets once evry 3rd week :D once a month sounds a bit low for a baby you should be giving her calcium at least twice in 2 weeks and multvitamns are no harm either :)
Oh I should've mentioned that I have 2 videos, one is my senegal who is full grown and the other one is of this baby who is still pretty tiny. I was trying to figure out why you were asking me about eggs but maybe you saw the bigger cham first.
Where are your cham videos? You should show off your babies :D
She has live plants, this was a temporary tank. If you read my description, it says I took out the plants because I wanted to make sure she ate something. But just so you know, you cannot put a hatchling in a high tank. They fall easily. She's now in a tall cage because she's bigger, but at the time I took this video, she was only a few weeks old.
Ok there is a few issues we need to address immediately. Get that cham out of a glass tank. Chams need airflow so go get him a screen cage if hes still alive. Chams also dont recognize standing water so thats why you have never seen your cham drink out of that water dish. You also need lighting. linear reptisun 5.0 uvb 18". And and a 40 watt house hold bulb for basking. GL and that may be a flapneck cham not a veiled.
It's definitely a veiled. This was a temporary tank. She's now in a 12x18x30 screen tank and has always had the proper lighting but thanks for your concern :)
How big are the crickets?pin heads or will they do just fine on small crickets?and also is ur chameleon stressed cuz hes a little dark there

@TehYumehChan Considering that this video was posted over 2 years ago, she's obviously not still a baby :)
She was fine, she always ate like a fat pig up until the day she died.

You will also need a nice real plant like a ficus or schefellera sp? for humidity and shelter. These animals live in trees not on the ground!
