Doyle Dykes shared his testimony at a youth camp I went to when I was in high school. That's at least 20 years ago. I'm glad I happened upon him here. Amazing and annointing talent. He gave it to the Lord.

Yes, one of my favorites. It's off the album "New Earth Sonata" by Harold Blanchard. The other names on the cover were Laws and Quincy Jones. It was recorded in 1983.

Listen to the Tommy Emmanuel version. Very similar, especially the harmonics - but a very good guitarist nonetheless. His daughter has a nice voice too.

Yes, they are similar, Tommy's is more bluesy, Doyle's more straightforward. Have you seen bassist Victor Wooten's version. That's amazing...
