I think you should stop reading the fairy tales of the bible. I think you should start your own research to find the real truth. The mythology of the old testament is all about violence, blood, wars, and sperm, while the mythology of the new testament drives you to the wrong direction; it deceives people, and make them believe things that never happened. Mythology is the idea that there are gods and godesses. IF those things never happened then why is there archaeological evidence to the contrary? I have seen the so-called Bible contradictions used as an excuse for avoiding the God therein, even while plenty of them have been responded to. Given that they are being responded to and the atheist keeps searching forever to find another contradiction or clings to the ones unanswered still, you remain with two problems.
@DrPhillLeeRoller - If Pilgrims came from England, why are there still people there? I'd rather believe in evolution, which provides a logical explanation of our existence. I would be more apt to believe if they had more records suggesting that our existence rather than "it was god's magic". He magically created the world less than 10,000 years ago. (BTW, we are not descendents from a monkey, just a common ancestor.) The bible does not explain other counties/people.

If you read in genesis you will see God said let the earth and water bring forth creatures and plants after their type and kind. God created these things, but the earth and waters brought them forth. when i talked about monkeys i was speaking in terms of intelligence. within thousands, not millions of years human intelligence grew exponentially. that is a major problem in evolution theory.

As for where the evil comes from, you are mistaken one more time. You can't read your bible well. There are many cases where God (not satan) does evil things to people. Read the verses I gave you again. There is no satanic presence in those verses, only God who decides to harm people.

@DrPhillLeeRoller I didn't say that. What I said is that the historians who lived the same period with jesus, do not mention anything about jesus. The very few of them that mention jesus, do not say that he was god or resurrected from the dead. Christianity is a religion, as all other religions. Jesus, his birth on december, the 12 apostles, and many other symbols have been taken by other older religions. All religions are a way of life. They tell you how to live by their laws.

And the Psalms was written by David an historical King of Judah.Some of it is history that is verifiable. The new testament is consistent of letters. Letters written based on what Jesus taught. Jesus taught from the Old testament the pentatuch. So all of it was inspired by God. God tells me in his voice exactly what the bible means.

@ianjrivers I can take this whole series and see that some of what this guy has said is absolute twist up or false, no one can be that blind, or taken out of context or was just misunderstood. But for me the Bible as you read it from cover to cover interprets itself. When someone gets it wrong, we consider them to be blinded. I have heard many evil voices, and I also have heard Two distinct voices that are God the Father and Jesus Christ. By hearing his voice he has confirmed to me that everything in Leviticus is true. Remember Abraham kept God's commands, statutes, laws.

@anakata3 First of all you have to believe in miracles. I don't think God wrote what was in Joshua but rather the events were recorded as a history of said events. There are not 'many" creators but Two. The word Elohim, which means Lord, is plural in some instances in the Old testament. We know that Jesus was part of that two. Why would 'a real God" not do miracles? If he's God and we have sinned and became flesh we are under him and his logic isn't going to be his logic.

@anakata3 No the Hebrew word means "the god" or "the gods" but it doesn't refer to an image of a female, just the image of the male. In God's image isn't a literal image, you know that don't you? You how a person says, "I have an IMAGE to uphold" it's how people perceive you, not the physical but your character. @DrPhillLeeRoller - If Pilgrims came from England, why are there still people there? I'd rather believe in evolution, which provides a logical explanation of our existence. I would be more apt to believe if they had more records suggesting that our existence rather than "it was god's magic". He magically created the world less than 10,000 years ago. (BTW, we are not descendents from a monkey, just a common ancestor.) The bible does not explain other counties/people.

If you read in genesis you will see God said let the earth and water bring forth creatures and plants after their type and kind. God created these things, but the earth and waters brought them forth. when i talked about monkeys i was speaking in terms of intelligence. within thousands, not millions of years human intelligence grew exponentially. that is a major problem in evolution theory.

Genesis 1:27 (The first man and woman were created simultaneously.) Second account: Genesis 2:18-19 (Humans were created before the other animals.) Genesis 2:18-22 (The man was created first, then the animals, then the woman from the man's rib.)

As for where the evil comes from, you are mistaken one more time. You can't read your bible well. There are many cases where God (not satan) does evil things to people. Read the verses I gave you again. There is no satanic presence in those verses, only God who decides to harm people.

The very few of them that mention jesus, do not say that he was god or resurrected from the dead. Christianity is a religion, as all other religions. Jesus, his birth on december, the 12 apostles, and many other symbols have been taken by other older religions. All religions are a way of life. They tell you how to live by their laws.

I have C. Dennis Mckinsey's 'Encyclopedia of Biblical errancy' and it is one of the best, funniest books I have read. I wish I'd read it when I was a child. What Dennis says is true of my experience. The church only tells one side of the story. It is a conspiracy of silence. Maybe people are afraid to upset anyone so they keep their thoughts to themself. My favorite error: In Matt 27:5, Judas casts down the money and hangs himself. In Acts 1:18 he buys land with the money and 'bursts asunder'. You are not doing God any favors by calling an imperfect book perfect. Bart tells his story here on YT. He went into bible studies as a fundamentalist Christian and came out of college a liberal Christian.

And the Psalms was written by David an historical King of Judah.Some of it is history that is verifiable. The new testament is consistent of letters. Letters written based on what Jesus taught. Jesus taught from the Old testament the pentatuch. So all of it was inspired by God. God tells me in his voice exactly what the bible means.

But for me the Bible as you read it from cover to cover interprets itself. When someone gets it wrong, we consider them to be blinded. @ianjrivers God tells us to obey his voice. Jesus told us his sheep know his voice and a strangers voice they don't know, which indicates there are other voices. I have heard many evil voices, and I also have heard Two distinct voices that are God the Father and Jesus Christ. By hearing his voice he has confirmed to me that everything in Leviticus is true. Remember Abraham kept God's commands, statutes, laws.

There are not 'many" creators but Two. The word Elohim, which means Lord, is plural in some instances in the Old testament. We know that Jesus was part of that two. Why would 'a real God" not do miracles? If he's God and we have sinned and became flesh we are under him and his logic isn't going to be his logic.

@anakata3 No the Hebrew word means "the god" or "the gods" but it doesn't refer to an image of a female, just the image of the male. In God's image isn't a literal image, you know that don't you? You how a person says, "I have an IMAGE to uphold" it's how people perceive you, not the physical but your character. So really they God the father and God the son were giving men and women God the Father's and Jesus' character.

Mendel's Law is a good google. 2) There were no health issues in the beginning and with God all things are possible, probable. I have found NO evidence in the Bible of both male and female creators. @Man4Goodwill Nice. It sounds like you've read Breaking The Spell by Dan Dennett. He talks about how people go through seminary school and find out how the bible was REALLY assembled. Afterward, most of them have their confidence shaken at minimum, on up to outright atheism in light of what they learned there.
Still, most go on with their religious endeavors anyway. Today there are a great number of clergy who disbelieve but think that belief itself is a good thing. Belief in belief not God.
