the point is that he is doing this for the chinese and his own gain. had he stayed or remained in contact then he would have been working for the japanese but instead he is just an ex-politician who is using his homeland and people for personal gain

The peak of the first season, this is one of the few battle where Lulu and Suzaku fans were rooting for the same team. It also proved that if the two of them are working together, anything is possible!
