50/50 isn't Scary! Neither is board sliding. What I do is approach the rail or back slower with a really wide stance. I put the rail lined up with my sack! Right when I get there I allie Up! Look at the end of the rail or out past it and stay low! Commit to the wide stace and you will nail it every time. There is a great camp called Ohio Dreams in Mansfield, OH. Check it out
