  • Awesome..!!!

  • Beautiful....sounds like the church I grew up in!

  • then sound strong i love it!

  • I remember this song! CP class of 2001, here, and glad to see Mrs. Cov is still doing a great job with her students!

  • @geminiM2783 you missed the celebration for Mrs. Cov tonight. She was awarded North Carolina Music Educators Association's (NCMEA) Choral Teacher of the Year Award.

  • i agree there wasnt necessarily enough low voices, but soprano 1s were beautiful.

  • Absolutely beautiful.....a pleasure listening to you guys. I had to get my headphones and turn it all the way up because i enjoyed it some much. The sopranos are so clean. The bass is just right and the tenors are on point. I heard all the accents and crescendos. Thanks for posting.

  • We sang a different version of this song in college. This was sung beautifully.

  • oh my gosh, my choir did this piece and by far you guys owned us. its very together and energetic. i love it. executed so differently than my choir, but i love it.

  • iowa is doing this piece for all state and while i am not auditioning on the choir side of it but rather on the band side, my choir in school is doing this piece (we always to alot of the allstate pieces) and this is one of my favorites.

you guys did an awesome job!

  • Last note = amazingness.

  • I would have liked to hear more bass...

  • Very rushed but i still love it :) Kudos.

  • Iowa is doing this piece for All-State this year and this is a great version to listen to :)

  • This is a beautiful and professional execution of this song. Thank you so much.

  • They don't sound like a high school choir.

  • Ok, for one, they need to sing louder sometimes. when they are supposed to sing piano, you can hardly tell they're even singing! just because it's marked piano at that point in the music, it does not mean barely audible! great tone, but they look completely bored out of their minds, and it seems there is no style to it. I'm a little disappointed... =/

  • @Beatleluva They can still be heard at piano.

  • @Tan1723 yeah, but I can barely understand them when they are singing piano. their diction is great when they sing, "Children, don't cha get weary," but when they are singing piano, I can't make out their words clearly. they're accents for the notes are great, but they need to have greater diction for the "k" in "walk," the "t" in "tire," the "c" and "t" in "great camp meeting," etc, and you would be able to hear them clearly when they sing piano.

  • @Beatleluva oh dont be a hater!! :)

  • Maybe it's just the way the piece is supposed to go but I don't like subdued it becomes. It needs to be free!! =DD Ahhhh!! =)

  • One point i would like to make the only thing i did not like about the song was that it was over dominated by the sopranos you can barely hear when tenors basses or altos have the important part

  • @lostsoul114 I agree but our tenors were pretty non exsistant that year! it looks like a lot of of them but it really wasnt. they had a small corner in the class room LOL!

  • wonderful job! we sang this at ccsd honor choir, it was our last song and we joined hs and ms together on it.

  • Fake motion and happiness FTW

Just kidding well done on the vocals we are currently working on this song for all state thanks for the good example

  • AHHHH. The verrrryyy last note that the descant sopranos hit was crazy intense! Beautiful tone quality, great dynamic contrast, and wonderful rhythmic variation! Great job. (:

  • Wow. You sound really good, and you're moving, not standing still like statues. You actually appear to be enjoying yourselves. How refreshing.

  • sounds good. really didnt sell it. no expression in the face.

  • @mrswilson63006 No expression? Are you blind?

  • oh sopranos, you were so good! oh man

  • ok,i agree, the sopranos did do well, but im doing this song in choir and im an alto, the alto part has a rather hard harmony, so dont judge them, because they are most likely working the hardest.

  • oh girl, I know the altos always work the hardest. I couldn't be an alto, haha. I have a lot of respect for Altos. I just loved the Sops in this video too.

  • @wicked272182 Yeah I'm a soprano and I have to give ya'll props also. I could never get the alto part lol, but I can get some suicide notes with the sopranos lol

  • ohh yesh they are sorry lol im in choir and im doing this song now and im a suprano ive worked sooo hard on trying to get my voice like that the firt 4 practices we had practicing this song every suprano lost their voice

  • kudos to the sopranos for being basically spot on all of those notes. mad props.

  • This is a great sounding choir! Awesome entrance by the men! :)

Personally i would like to hear more of the inner voices throughout the song, i know that the soprano has the melody throughout but the inner parts give it a very nice color.

  • Out of all the songs CP sang I liked this one the most...next is I carry your heart with me...then Bright Morning Stars.
