I managed a construction division for a decent sized company the first two years after I graduated highschool, and I was told we were in compliance as long as the business owner or someone in the management had the proper licenses, which was hard because we did electrical, plumbing, hvac, food grade stainless welding, process piping, and structural. I was the only one in management that was involved in that division and didn't have any licenses, is that not legal? Inspectors never said anything?

I've watched mma since the pre zuffa ufc days (pride hay days) and CA has some good gyms and good fighters but to say that %60 of successful mma fighters come from CA is a complete fallacy. I love fighting at the amateur level, its a stress reliever as i own my own business, but anyone who is convinced they will turn pro and make big bucks is mistaken, especially mma, fight twice a year and make 10/10 if your lucky, plus sponserships, it doesn' add up to much. I'm glad i'm not the only one who sees things that way.

Yeah, chances of making it big in mma are very slim, you can make more money doing a lot of other things, that are far easier. I'm the same way with kickboxing/boxing, I hate watching the sport but I respect anyone who steps in the ring. I admit I stopped pure standup fighting bc I don't like getting hit in the face (wimp i guess), i'd rather grapple. People don't realize what it takes to compete in sports, especially combat sports, you can't hide your tru colors in the ring/cage, or on the mat.
