I am very pleased that we went into Libya and gained the support of NATO. It was the right thing to do. In the past we have too often supported dictators in the hopes of maintaining stability in the region. This was an important social movement and I feel proud that our country got on the right side of the issue this time.

I am very pleased that we went into Libya and gained the support of NATO. It was the right thing to do. In the past we have too often supported dictators in the hopes of maintaining stability in the region. This was an important social movement and I feel proud that our country got on the right side of the issue this time.

the problem with libya was that Gaddafi nationalised the Libyan oil and gave the proceeds to the people in the form of housing, water and farmland. This is the US's greatest fear because it locks out the western oil corporations, similar to what is happening in South America.
