If you write the program in notepad and save it as a .bat file on the school computer, and then open it up and send the message, then all that happens is a window pops up on the other persons screen with the message on it. Youre not opening or sending unknown files, so it should work on any school computer.

This only works with 32 bit versions of windows, it will still work if you can find a copy of the msg.exe program and put it in your system32 directory though. Same with the edit command, only it will NOT work with versions of windows that are not 32 bit or with people that have 64 bit or higher CPU's.

Yeah, after XP, MS dropped support for the NET SEND command which is what this uses. Also, troy, our School District blocks the messenger service from being started (i checked two years ago), which renders this useless. I would either download a third party program or make an IM style client. Of course, I was called down to the principals office for violating the technology policy, so you haveta be careful ;)

Never tried it myself, but I would say that it doesn't. Cmd is working over the LAN-network, so you're only allowed to enter the computers thats hooked up to your router. I'll try to do a research soon on what you can do to other computers like worldwide, but since this is FreeSCHOOLHacks, I don't think I'm gonna upload something like this, since all school computers are hooked up to the same LAN-network.
