  • plain stupid! new tires.. on the dirt... the truck does seem like it could laid rubber on the pavement without brakes..

  • give it hell man nice truck

  • CHEVY POW

  • wow first silver chevy i see clean like mine i have darker grey but sick thing sounds like a freekin monster lol sick rims

    Nice,simple and clean.

    Sounds damn good too.

  • what colors your paint?

  • Git-R-Done dude !!! that ROCKS !! Like Justin Moore says ... that is out in the backwoods !!!! =)

  • Nice clean truck and it has a great sounding engine. I won't pile on about the " dirt " burnout..cause I loved the engine noise too much.

  • DUDE A BURNOUT IN DIRT...THAT MUST HAVE BEEN HELL TO PULL OFF. i mean i have seen little kids do that shit on the big wheels but with a motor and all you should be PROUD!

  • 10 BOLT!!!! WTF!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!!!!???

  • i love the sound of a 350sb

  • that sounds great!

  • where does that truck some up to you at and how tall are you

  • @wheelus8 I'm 6'1" tall, and I have to grab the wheel and jump in. It is pretty high, but it still fits in the garage with just an inch or two clearance.

  • @buckshot305 is that a 350? what all ya got done to it? she turns up real nice.

  • really nice truck, but even a daihatsu can burnout in the dirt

  • @repenseattle thanks, but since those tires were less than a week old when this video was made, I was a little hesitant to do a burnout on pavement. I did it on dirt because that's where I was and someone had a camera. I also was concerned that 35" tires and a 10 bolt wouldn't get along very well on pavement. I have since blown the 10 bolt, swapped in a 12 bolt and done several impressive burnouts on asphalt. Maybe one day I'll make another video to prove it.

  • Nice truck, I have almost the same exact drivetrain on my 87 Jimmy. only thing that sucks is gas.

  • y do u have to do it on a little hill

  • @TheMudking12 I figured once the tires broke loose, I wouldn't have to hold the brakes and the hill would hold me in one spot. I didn't have to though.

  • that truck sux

  • @gom9r thanks for the comment

  • dirt=pussy

  • @anberlinftw1 Mmmm.... Dirt Pussy

  • @buckshot305 haha

  • i have a question does anyone know if heavy duty axles of a 1977 k30 4x4 could be put in a 1987 k10 4x4?

  • @alanack67 Yeah, they should bolt right in.

  • What size lift you got. Nice truck I got a 81 k10

  • @rep1989 4"

  • dude that was a nice burn out dude and that is a dame fine truck u have there man

  • Daamn! Sexy truck. Might I inquire as to what gears you would reccomend for a mid 80s k10 being used as a all-around daily driver? Some light wheeling included :D

  • @mightyjoelaith Thanks! If you have a 4spd, TH350 or 400 I would stick with 3.42s, 3.55s, or 3.73s. If you have a 700R4, then 4.10s or 4.56s would work. It also depends on what size tire your running, and how much power your making. I would calculate your final drive ratio, tire size, and desired rpm at desired highway speed. For example, you may want to run 2400rpms at 70 mph with 33" tires, and a 1:1 ratio in your transmission's highest gear. So you would need a 3.42 gear.

  • @buckshot305 Ah, thanks for the tips. I've got my face wedged in some Olav Aaen books, so I should be able to figure it out pretty soon. I'm thinking 3.55s all variables considered.

  • @buckshot305

Whered you get those tail lights?

  • @Mississippi1313 LMC Truck

  • haha just couldn't see myself doin that to such nice tires

  • your crazy for burning brand new rubber. id throw the old ones on an run the hell out of em

  • holy SHIT! this thing sounds like a BEAST!! you must use RedBulls for fuel and wild turkey 101 bourbon for oil. chuck norris would be proud.

ROCK ON man, i loved the vid. 5/5 stars. 6 if i could.

  • found your trucks younger bigger brother

  • Is it pretty good for street and offroad with the 4.10's?

  • @jgrose9 Offroad - yes, Street - Yes, Highway -NO!!!!!! I love the 4.10s, but it runs 3500 at 75-80.

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to put 1 ton leafs on my k10???

  • man i love the old trucks. they just don't make them like they used to. was this truck restored, cause it looks good.

  • @majordave223 Yeah, I did a full restoration on it in 2006.

  • @buckshot305

Sweet lookin truck man. My best friend has a restored 87 halfton bought that color with the same set up. cept in 87 was the first year of fuel injection...

  • @majordave223 wouldnt a new 2010 be better than an old one??

  • I love the old Chevy trucks I wish Chevy would make the trucks like they use too with out all the electronics, I also liked the granny low that those had you could really pull, my cuz pulled a ford 350 that had a trailer with a bobcat on it out of a ditch going up hill. one hell of a good truck. the rust got to it and had to sell it.

  • i did a burnout the other day with my old ATs and got a grove in the right rear tire. should have the video up soon, but i don't think i'll be doing burnouts with the new KM-2s i have on now

  • Those KM2's look bad!!! My buddy just put some on his Duramax. They ride great and aren't as loud as the old style tread that I've got. I used to have some 33" Buckshot mudders, and I burnt them to ground before I got my BFGs, unfortunately I didn't get it on video.

  • Great News!!!!!!!!

Be looking for a few new videos soon! I taught my truck to do better burnouts on pavement!!!!! I'll be pulling out all the stops for this one....

  • i just got my video on recently

  • it sadie 350 in the begining

  • what size motor is in it

  • Says at the beginning of the video.

  • motor sounds fuckin awesome

  • What wheels are those?

  • 15x10 US Wheels Mod 98 (I think) They're chromed steel wheels, pretty cheap - $52 a wheel. I'm gonna upgrade to Mickey Thompson Classic II's at some point.

  • I got M/T Classic II's on my Jeep Cherokee right now... They look bad ass, but so do those wheels... Any chance you could send me some shots of them on your truck? I'm getting a 1978 GMC Sierra tomorrow and would like to get a set provided they look that great standing still, as well.

  • what kind of tranny does that have, muncie?

  • SM465 4spd

  • those are good trannies thats what i have in my pickup and same with my dad. muncie did a damn good job buildin them.

  • nice truck

  • nice truck man looks sharp and sounds wicked, what all have you done to the motor sounds like its got a small cam in it?

  • i have a 83 chevy but its two weel drive go look :]

  • convert it

  • we were going to

but the cabs where the trasmittion goes is two inthes taller for the 4x4 cab tan the 4x2

  • you can change the hump in most of the old chevys like this but i do know you can't in the 87 model.

  • i dont have the 87 model i have the 83 model

what all do i have to do to convert it

i bought a 1979 model with the fucked up rusted body

    and a 83

  • well i would change the body over on to the 79chevy 4x4 frame and change the center trans hump out of the 79 into the 83 cab im pretty sure it will work no problem.

  • how would i change he hump

would i have to cut it and weild the hump to the other frame?

  • it should unbolt like have something like 12 bolts or so in it,if you had you carpet or mat out you could see if it had bolts in it i do know the 79 has bolts in it to take that hump out,if not you could measure and cut both humps out and weld the other one in.

  • i didnt know they had bolts lol

  • GM 10 bolts are the axles under the truck.

  • Nice comeback...with witty replies like that it's nice to see inbreeding still alive and well in the south.

    Have a nice day....

  • Ok, listen ..your truck sounds good, but burn-outs in the dirt dont impress me at all. As for burn outs, watching somebody melt of a set of wrinkle-walls or even a nice set of tires is always impressive. Yes I know it is expensive but that is why they are called "Burn Outs" You have a nice truck, I can tell by the sound it has some balls, but to say it is a wicked burn-out..sorry its not.

  • You must have missed the part where I said it was the "most wicked burnout that i was WILLING to do". If you want to buy me a new set of tires, I'll be glad to burn the mother fuckers to the pavement.

  • Lame, Lame Lame..in the dirt??W.T.F. Try it on the pavement next time...Call that a hillbilly burnout....so lame!!

  • jump off a brige. how bout you buy a brand new set of 1000 dollar tires and do that then youl have the rigte to bitch

  • Nosing into a dirt mound and putting the pedal to the metal isnt impressive at all, unless you like watching sandblasting video's. Ps:Here is how you spell .. "Bridge", "about", "you'll" and "right" for your next witty comeback...

  • wow your a real turd in my fan blade all tellin me how to spell wise ass

  • yeah thanks buckshot....

thanks for making me go out and buy single chambers....yours is the inspiration for me, i love that truck man.....my friend is all into offroad trucks and he has a hardon for your truck like yoou wouldnt believe

  • thats a sharp lookin ol Chevy. i have one that looks just like it, same color and all. i love those old trucks

  • very sharp lookin and sounding truck.

  • What type of mufflers do you have on your truck? they sounds like turbo mufflers....

  • Very nice truck. What's under the hood? Did you restore it yourself?

Check out my video. I'd like to know what you think.

  • A third generation chevy truck. I HAVE to get myself one of those. Though I don't have any money. Nice truck man, if I get one I'll make mine like that one.......hopefully.

  • wow that comment bout fat girls and hunk of junk was some stupid city slicker. im gettin a 87 soon and my parents want me to do it up like this one. get on it son!

  • Good Luck with it! If you need help, let me know! These trucks are easy to work on and a great way to learn.

  • Your truck sounds good man - alot ramps up alot better than I expected it to! Nice work

  • what kind of setup do you have for exhaust?

  • read through the comments - i covered it in great detail somewhere
