@davew8572 Steam is one of the two providers of downloadable games that you can buy GTA through. (Direct2Drive is the other.) The downloadable versions of SA are version 3 although some aspects are very similar to version 2.

The "downgrader" only supports version 2 currently. so I don't think that you can downgrade it unless there is some other way

there are a few easy fixes: 1.delete the gta sa.set file in the gta sa user files folder.2.change your setup to windows 98 or xp or 3.remove everything to do with sa in u computer uninstall then install it again - THESE SHOULD WORK !

ok when u run the down grader some time it will be different on all computers soo like mine i had to change what it said on my downgrader too. C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas-because i have windows 7 there to promgram files (x86) and the plain one. u need the x86
