If Rog's voice is shot, it's because he's sick or overworked. That guy has given nothing but 1000% in his long career as a singer and he's also,as you know one of the few rock stars to take excellent care of himself to ensure he can do his fucking job to the best of his ability. He gets a pass on this one. He even stopped smoking early on in his career because of course it would ruin his pipes. Now THAT"S dedication! I wouldn't be pissed at all. You know they'll make up for it.
i seen his first show back in Little Rock front fuckin row.i don't care if he was sick ,that shit was awesome.i have a tamporine ring of his.it's framed with my ticket and news paper review saying NO FOOLING -THE WHO DELIVERS THE GOODS.
Vocals are tricky. I've gone up on stage feeling fine, only to find my voice failing after just a couple of seconds. Other times I've been sick as a dog, coughing and rattling, and my voice would miraculously clear up after a scream or two.* You just don't know some times.
However, I consider it good rock 'n' roll practice to give it a shot.
*: You usually pay the price the following day, though.
what a puff pussy. These guys have lost it a long fucking time ago. If you cant fucking sing, you dont start the fucking show. Booo hoooo for an aging puff tart rock star who should have hung the mic up many years ago.
@Graiskye yo shut the fuck up man. all people want to do is hear GOOD FUCKING MUSIC AND THE WHO DELIVER IT! THOSE PEOPLE PAID MONEY TO SEE THEM MONTHS BEFORE ROGERS VOICE WAS GOING SO IT WAS JSUT BAD TIMING! if u had a passion like these two men do u would want to keep doing it forever and thats what they are doing and people enjoy it so shut the fuck up. dont comment if its not good you "PUFF PUSSY"
i agree with you; i saw the who in june 2007 in swansea, uk and their performance was piss-poor. terrible sound problems, and after the last number pete stormed off the stage.....
But how incredibly disappointing for all the fans though! "Can't Explain" is the first song they always play, isn't it? Shame his voice didn't go on the LAST song....
Ya know what, I would have (If I was at the show)...I would have honestly been really pissed off hearing what Pete said, that they had to cancel. I mean, here I am...just bought a pricey ticket to see the Who, and they cancel. I can understand, if they would tell the people ahead of time that they would have to cancel due to Roger's illness. But, that right there, that's gotta be so disappointing to all those fans wanting to watch one of the best band's ever!
I was at this show and when they came on and started playing he didnt sounds that bad and when he walked out we all thought it was a joke. And even when pete was speaking we thought it was still thought it was a joke until the lights came on in the venue. And then everyone went crazy!!! We thought there was going to be a riot like the one the who has had in the past!!
Glad Roger pulled through from being sick in the end. He gave it his best shot at least. No matter what happens, The Who always try until they know they can't do it :).
This video depicts the low point of my life. I was only in Tampa for spring break. When they came back I was back at college, and I STILL HAVEN'T SEEN THE WHO PLAY LIVE. Now they're going to be too old or too dead to tour, and I'll never see them.
I was there!!!!!
