Amityville refuses to allow film crews to shoot these movies in the town. Even in the original they didn't film in Amityville itself nor did they use the actual house, but a stand in that looked like it, with the remake, they kept the iconic windows (which are now gone on the real house to disguise it) but used a completly different design

@absiliomundus I didn't really notice a difference, but sometimes when you watch a movie online you can hear differences in the sound than watching it in the theater or on television. Like the 20th Century opening to movies. Online it's a different pitch then when you hear the music on TV or a DVD. So if you were to watch it from a different source like DVD or TV, then it'll probably sound normal. Just a thought, aha.

The little defoe girl, Jodie in the real life she's twelve and her name is Alison. There was also an older girl Dawn, 18.This is based on a true story. The Lutz moved into the house a year after the murder, they did flee the house 28 days later. What I find interesting though about the murder is that all family members who were shot in their beds, seemed to of died in their sleep this puzzle the investigators and gives some credit to Butch Defoe's pleas on how he was told to do it. :)

I liked this one along with Friday the 13th, Halloween (Rob Zombie's 2007 Version, NOT THE SEQUEL REMAKE!), The Omen, My Bloody Valentine 3D, House of Wax (2005), Black Christmas (2006) (It was very creepy!), The Grudge, Thirteen Ghosts and the greatest remake of all time in my opinion is THE RING!!!!!!!!!!!! Gore Verbinski's 2002 Version American Remake of The Ring is absolutely marvelous and terrifying! MUST SEE!
